Yes, I know that we haven't even finalised the Herdstone awards for 2010, but this thread is in preparation for next years awards. Some of the nomination threads, especially the quote thread, usually get comments on the line of "I'm sure there was some good quotes, but I can't remember them." This is the chance to plug that leak in your memory, by posting a link to the post that contains the thing you want to remember in a years time.
If possible link to the post in question, and not just the thread, by copying the link you get from clicking the Posted: thing on top of the post.
You should also mention in your post what the nomination is (best quote, best off topic thread, best on topic thread and so on).

Or can we just stick quotes here and suggest our own category for said quote?

This thread can be used for other nominations as well, if you feel you're likely to forget them. Just post away, we can always ignore you if you're silly. ;)

When the mods get time to take care of the awards we will probably change a few of the categories. When we do we will put up nomination threads as usual. This thread is good for links to threads and similar, but if you want to nominate daftgor for being awesome you will hopefully remember that when the time comes. :)
