Personally, I think its amazing. Once you've opened all of the courses on single player, you have access to every single one of them online! But if you pick one, doesnt necessarily mean you get to play it. Just like on the d.s its random. Sometimes me and my mom, or me and my brother guess which one out of the list will win, and if one of us gets it right, we get to choose the next course we will pick.
Online play quality looks just like it does on single player, unless your router is laggy, then I suggest you fix that.
