An incredibly rare frilled shark was recently captured on camera for the first time in history a few weeks ago in Japan. They are a strange type of shark with a body similar to that of an eel and they usually live over 600m below the surface, but for some reason one was found near the coast of Japan, but died a short time later. There is fossils of these that date back over 80 million years so it is possibly one of the oldest living known species of fish. Here is the footage:
