, Frequently Asked Questions

, I registered my account but I can't post. Why?

Due to spammers and trolls, we have had to force a validation on all emails that are registered here. Depending on your email provider, it can take up to an hour to recieve your validation. So just sit tight and chat in the cbox. If after an hour you still have not recieved your validation email. feel free to say somthing in the cbox to an admin. We can choose to override the validation process if we are sure that you are a real person and serious about joining.

, What Book is FAE set during?

Well, FAE is AU (alternate universe) so it doesn‘t really follow the books timeline of events. The canons are here, with canon personalities, but beyond that? It‘s up to the role players to decide what happens, within reason of course. Right now, I guess technically it would be AU Post-Breaking Dawn since Edward and Bella are married and do have children, though they are twins and not Nessie.

, So if FAE is AU what is allowed?

Tricky question. For the most part, imprints are up to the players, if you don’t want the canon imprint, that is between the two players. If they are vampire in the book they are vampire here, if they are shifter in the book they are shifter here, if they were human in the book, with the exception of Bella they are human here. Lycan are the only creatures we are allowing that weren’t specifically in the books, they are our version of ’Children of the Moon.’ Is this set? For now yes, but a few months down the road? We may consider adding other species, don’t count on it though. If your question wasn’t answered, please ask an admin.

, What is the timeline for FAE?

The timeline for FAE actually changes, every three months with the seasons we move ahead. Generally we’re following real life time. You can tweak things to your specific needs, just keep in mind some sort of personal timeline and make sure it’s within the season designated. Also. If you begin a thread in spring and it changes to summer, the topic still takes place in the spring.

, What is the IC AIM?

It is REAL AIM screen names that we used to let our character interact. It helps us create and move plots, develop our characters and their relationships as well as stimulate muse. Each character you create must have their own screen name to interact on, for instance, I play 3 characters, each of them has their own unique screen name. If you message one characters account, that character will reply, not one of the others. AIM is free and if you don’t want to download anything you can always use Meebo or aim express. This is not required, but we urge you to get your characters accounts, because it‘s a lot of fun, most of the characters have them and it is a easy way to have a quick ‘thread.’ Also, if the conversation is important or interesting please post it for others to see, just copy and paste the entire thing into a new thread in the IC AIM section, if it‘s got adult content please mark it like any other mature thread with [m]

, I want to update my application, but it is locked. Can you unlock it?

No. We lock them so that unauthorized changes can not be made to the applications. We don't want people changing things on us that we didn't approve. There is no reason to update the applications as they are for us to decide if you fit here or not. Not a play by play account of what your character has done on the site. That's what the archives are for. From now on once it has been locked it will not be unlocked. Sorry about that.

, Human Questions

, My human lives in La Push/spends a lot of time in La Push. Does that mean they can find out about the shifters?

No. As of right now, far too many humans know about the wolves. As such, we are banning people from being able the find out. The only exceptions to this rule are those who have been imprinted on. If you are the friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/family of the wolves, you will not know. If there is a reason that your character must know about the wolves, you must contact the admins with your reasoning and we will discuss it and either approve or deny your request. You must adhere to our ruling, even if it is not in your favor.

, Can my human be bitten by a vampire and survive?

No. They would either be drained or they would be turned into a vampire themselves.

, I have a human. Can they become a shifter?

That depends. The character would have to be 15 or younger, a member of the Quileute tribe, and male. It would need admin approval before it could occur.

, I have a human on here, I want them to be a vampire/lycan Can I?

This is a case-by-case situation. Ask the admins. The rules state the following (so keep this in mind before you come to the admins about a species change, this is mainly towards vampires but will be very similar for lycans.):
“If you start off as a human, there is a good chance you are going to stay that way. Newborns are unruly and will not be allowed to interact with humans, therefore meaning they cannot be in Washington. If you are wanting your human to be turned, please message an admin with your plot line. We are not going to allow all characters to jump ship and take this serious.

If you are given admin approval, you will have to stay away from all but vampires in one of the "other places in the world" forums, with no knowledge of the goings-on in Forks for at least a year in site time.

You will have to be active for at least two straight months before we will consider allowing you to change species. This means your post count should reflect your activity.”

Vampire Questions

, I have a crimson vampire. Can I make them a vegetarian?

It depends. Because most vampires crave human blood, it is extremely difficult to resist. Aside from that, many vampires view "vegetarians" with distaste, because animal blood is not nearly as good as the taste of human. If there is a plot purpose for your switching sides, contact an admin and we will decide if you can change sides. While you do not need permission to try becoming a vegetarian, you will need permission for a successful change (and a member group switch).

, I have a vegetarian vampire. Can I make them a crimson vamp?

This we have no problem with. Everyone can fall off the wagon at any point, and it is difficult to resist human blood. If your vampire turns to human blood more than once or twice as a slip, and you would like your member group changed, please contact an admin to change it for you. Should you decide to go back to being a vegetarian, you must show that your character has been resisting the lure of human blood for some time before we will change you back.

, Can my vampire have more than one power?

No. Each vampire comes with a generic set of skills, and some have other powers. These are rare, and each vampire only has one. You cannot control the weather and human emotion for example. Speed, strength, agility, etc., are traits inherited by all vampires. These do not interfere with other exceptional powers.

, Since you have a member group for Hybrids are you accepting more?

No. That’s a flat out no way, no how situation. The staff has already discussed that and decided the twins will be the only ones allowed. Sorry.

, Can my vampire have powers?

For characters not stated in the book, this is a case-by-case situation. We are trying to limit the amount of vampires with powers, since they are rare. If another vampire already has the power we will more than likely make you change it. If it is to close to God Modding we will make you change it and if it has anything to do with ghosts or souls we will not allow it. That goes for any other powers that force us to make decisions on things involving the dead and religions. Volturi will be more likely to be allowed powers, but again, it’s a case-by-case situation and you must contact the staff on this.

, Can my vampire's hair/nails change length?

Well, this kind of depends. A vampire is more or less frozen in time. So while you CAN cut the hair/nails, you CANNOT regrow it. So if you have waistlength hair and cut it to your ears, you are stuck with it to your ears for the rest of eternity.

, I have a vampire, can they have inter-species relationships?

For the most part, no. Vampires are the one species we do not want having inter-species relationships.
Vampire - Human: Very difficult, we don’t want humans finding out about vampires, neither do the vampires. Most vampires are crimson and therefore have a hard time being around humans for long periods of time and remember Edward and Bella were very special in this way.
Vampire - Shifter: They hate each other, they can’t stand the smells and the Alpha won’t allow it since it’s endangering humans and the pack. So again, no.
Vampire - Lycan: The lycans were hunted nearly to extinction by vampires, most of them lost everything to vampires, they aren’t going to stand them lightly.
If you must have a relationship. You must contact the staff first and have it put to a vote.

, I want to make a vampire child. Is allowed?

No. We try to stick to the rules laid out by Stephenie Meyer as best as we can. In Breaking Dawn, many of the vampires see Nessie as an Immortal CHild and are disgusted and outraged. The Volturi killed the mother of the Denali sisters because she had created a vampire child. As such, any child on here would have to be disposed of immediately as well, so we are not allowing them to be created at all.

Lycan/Shifter Questions

, I want to create a original Lycan, is that possible?

If they are all taken on the canon list it’s best to ask a staff member about that. Lycans are rare, as Caius killed most of them off out of fear. The twelve on the canon list were the last in the world that came together out of necessity for their survival.

, Is Jacob imprinting?

As of right now, JACOB IS NOT IMPRINTING. This question is being added here seeing as I have been getting asked it nearly every day. The possibility exists for the future, but it's most likely never going to happen. My reason being that after the initial 'zomggg I found my luff <33' thing, it loses it's fun and you can't really do anything because you're bound to one person. So, sorry all you Jacob imprintee hopefuls, you're just going to have to settle for something else.

, Can a shifter imprint on my vampire/lycan/shifter?

For the sake of this site we are going to have to say no. The purpose of an imprint, aside from a soulmate, is to find an attractive mate with which to pass on the shifter genes. Humans are the best resource for this. Vampires cannot reproduce, lycans can with much difficulty, and shifters are undetermined but we are saying they cannot on this site.

, Can a shifter imprint on my human?

That is a decision made between members. Even if it is a canon imprint, we are giving members the choice. So if you take a person who has been imprinted on in the book, but the shifter is already imprinted on someone else, that is the way it will stay.

, I play a shifter who imprinted on a human. That character is no longer on the site. Does this mean I can imprint on a different character now?

Absolutely. The only thing we ask if that you either pretend like the original imprint had never existed. Since the original imprintee is gone, they are in a sense, dead. Death can break the imprint and allow a new one to form. This exception is only allowed when the imprintee leaves the site.

, I play a shifter who imprinted and I'm bored with it. Can I break/change the imprint?

Sorry, no. Imprints are eternal and you have made your decision. Unless the imprintee is no longer a part of the site, you are stuck with your decision.
