I understand that if silver is given to a lycan that they are bound to the person who gave it to them. But does the silver have to touch them? Or even better if it is a gift do they have to accept the gift? Does just one touch of silver bound them to the person who owns the silver?

-Puts on Knowledge hat to answer this-

It doesn't have to be a 'gift' it just has to go from a human Something with a pulse to the wolf. Lycans can bind to each other, and I guess that would apply to the shifters as well.

And no, it does not have to be accepted. Ari got bound to Emma when she stabbed him with a silver knife. So.

In sum:

1. Has to touch them.
2. Doesn't have to be a gift.
3. Once the person 'offers' it, they are bound. Even if its an attempt to kill them.
4. They do not have to accept it.

Does that make sense? I made the rules up, so what makes sense to me doesn't always make sense to other people outside of my brain.

HOWEVER! You have to talk to the person you are trying to bind with before doing it, and get their permission. If you assume you can bind them and do it in a post, it is considered God-modding and it is a weeks suspension.
