Obviously being the resident librarian, Ianto knew this place like the back of his hand, in fact maybe a little better - after all Ianto couldn't remember a time when he'd studied his hand for more than a few seconds but he could however remember countless times wandering the various walkways of the library.
It was pretty early this morning, Ianto prefered to get up early and get everything done before the students came and ruined the perfect order once again. As usual, Ianto charmed the piles of returned books which seemed to then levitate and float off back to where they belonged making Ianto's job a hell of a lot easier.
Sitting at his desk, Ianto scanned over a few pages of over due book registers, Letting out a soft sigh he shock his head before, from the corner of his eye he noted someone else in the library, he looked up from what he was doing, it was a girl, obviously a student. Other than her and himself the library was empty. Standing up and wandering with his hands in the jacket pockets of his prim suit, Ianto smiled slightly, she seemed somewhat aimless not that Ianto minded. "Hi there." He said in his usual soft and quiet tone.

Ary sauntered into the library and went imediantly to the fantasy section of books. With a small crease between her perfectly shaped eyebrows, she looked for a book she had been meaning to read since last year. Five minutes later, she pulled the book off the shelf and went to a singlee table and sat down. She turned the book and read the spine. Enchanter By Sara Douglass. She smiled. This was her favourite fantasy trilogy. Well there was another trilogy set thirty years after this one, but she would read those later. She smiled softly and opened the book to the first chapter, sighing contentedly : Ho’Demi sat his shaggy horse and contemplated the impenetrable fog before him. His scouts had reported that the Duke of Ichtar and what remained of his command from Gorkenfort drew close. For all Ho’Demi knew they were but ten paces away. Ho’Demi shivered. He did not like these southern lands with their damp mists. He yearned for the northern wastes of the Ravensbund with its endless leagues of grinding ice. He yearned to be once more hunting the great icebears with the men and women of his tribe—not these Ghostmen whose very whispers defiled the wind. However, the northern wastes were denied Ho’Demi and his people. For as far back as tribal memory stretched the Skraeling wraiths had existed. Until the past year they had been neither numerous nor brave, and as long as his people hunted in packs, the Skraelings had not attacked. But now, massed by the unseen yet powerful hand of Gorgrael the Destroyer, the Skraelings had driven them from the Ravensbund, down through Gorken Pass, past Gorkenfort and town—where the Duke of Ichtar had stopped the invasion of Gorgrael’s Ghostmen—and into these southern lands. Ho’Demi had finally stopped his people’s flight here at Jervois Landing. It was here that Borneheld, having somehow escaped the Skraelings, intended to make his stand.

Ianto watched the girl for a moment, maybe she didn't need his help after all, she seemed able to deal with it herself. Hearing the faitest noise in the backdrop, Ianto turned his head to see another young girl saunter in. He smiled inwardly and watched her, she seemed like she knew exactly where she wanted to go and what book she wanted. In a matter of minutes she had what she wanted and was sat reading. Glancing at his watch, Ianto could barely believe there were students up this early of their own free will - when he was a student, although he had been the studious type, he would have prefered to stay in bed for as long as possible, apparently times had changed since then. Not bothering to disturb the girl who'd already started reading, Ianto cleared his throat with a quiet cough. "Looking for anything in particular or just browsing?" He asked in a semi-business like tone though he hadn't meant for it to sound quite as rehersed as it had come out. Shifting slightly on the spot, Ianto directed all his attention at this particular girl for a second before glancing over once again at the one already reading, she didn't look like she needed the attention of a librarian that was for sure.

As Lucy read the book, she saw another girl sauntered into the library, not bothered about that, she return to her book, she begin with chapter one
Chapter 1 - Something In The Snow
Silas Heap pulled his cloak tightly around him against the snow. It has been a long walk through the Forest, and he was chilled to the bone. But in his pockets he had the herbs that Galen, the Physic Woman, had given him for his new baby boy Septimus, who has been born earlier that day. Silas drew closer to the Castle, and he could see the lights flickering through the trees as candles were placed in the windows of the tall narrow houses clustered along the outside wall......
Lucy carried on reading, barely noticing what was going on in the library.
