In 1955, Walt Disney created a magical world hidden away in California, to give children and adults alike a place to let their imaginations soar -- where even the impossible could occur.

51 years later, in March 2007, a messageboard was created with the exact same purpose: to give the fans, the children at heart, a place to discuss their love of all things Disney without the fear of judgement from those who have 'grown up' and sadly no longer believe in magic.

Disneyland's newest upcoming attraction is a updated version of what was once the "Submarine Voyage/20,000 Leagues" attraction. The new ride was to be themed after what Disney thought would be their next fantastic hit: Atlantis: The Lost Empire. The movie flopped, and the idea was scrapped. The lagoon was forgotten for several years.

Then came Finding Nemo.

On June 11th, the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage will be open to the public. Soft previews for cast members, the press, and the passholders will be held the week beforehand. So I expect some video on Youtube and such hopefully soon, but in the mean time, here is a nice article about the creation of the ride, as well as some of the storyline and history on Wikipedia.

If you are lucky enough to live in CA and ride the attraction, please tell us all about it! biggrin.gif

Luckily, DL has a fastpass for this attraction, so the wait is only 20 minutes if you get the pass.

I rode this ride. The line is just scary! It stretches all the way to where the Matterhorn line is.
