Songs that Disneymania needs to cover!

Okay...so Disneymania has hit a lot of great songs - repeatedly. And I feel like they are missing some GREAT songs with potential to be 'remixed' and 'restyled' by the stars. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. I actually made a list of the 'repeat offender' songs before Disneymania 5 came out...

Part Of Your World has been done three times.
Two Worlds has been done twice.
I Wanna Be Like You has been done twice.
When She Loved Me has been done twice.
Kiss The Girl has been done (at least) three times.
The Second Star To The Right has been done three or four times.
Cruella De Vil has been done twice.
Colors Of The Wind has been done (at least) three times.
Go The Distance has been done twice.
The Siamese Cat Song has been done twice.
Reflection has been done (at least) three times.
True To Your Heart has been done three times.
Circle Of Life has been done twice.
Under The Sea has been done twice.
A Whole New World has been done twice.
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes has been done three times.

And I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch. But point is, Disney isn't being very unique. There are TONS of great songs out there to perform, and here are a few of my ideas.

• "Zero To Hero" from Hercules. A girl band could have tons of fun with this song. I think Everlife would do it justice. (They've been great with the Disney songs thusfar!) But some 'modernizing' on this already fun song would be AMAZING.
  
  
• "I'm Wishing/One Song" from Snow White. For some reason, I love this medley. A LOT. And I think it could be done beautifully. (I'm a huge fan of the 'On The Record' version.)
  
  
• "Be Prepared" from The Lion King. This song is so AWESOME. Who wouldn't want to sing it? I can imagine it going all gospel-choir-y at the end with the 'hyena' voices and stuff. It would be amazing! Haha. And I want a girl to alter and sing it. Cause that would be wicked.
  
  
• "Perfect Isn't Easy" from Oliver And Company. Seriously. Let some Disney diva sing this! (Ashley Tisdale? Wanna volunteer?)
  
  
• "Something There" from Beauty & The Beast. I think this would be such a cute duet! Hey hey, Zac and Vanessa! You do it!
  
  
• "Be Our Guest" from Beauty & The Beast. Another fun song...maybe the Disney Channel Circle Of Stars could cover it or something. They would have fun with it.
  
  
• "Out There" from Hunchback Of Notre Dame. AMAZING song that a guy vocalist could cover. Would personally love to see Jesse cover it. (Was anyone else disappointed with his disappearance from the Disneymania series with the last CD?) Or no, take that back. LUCAS needs to cover it! That would be a-mah-zing.
  
  
• "Prince Ali" from Aladdin. Another fun song that some group like Jonas Brothers could cover. (I think they would make it pretty awesome, myself...)
  
  
• "Strange Things" from Toy Story. For some reason I just like this song. I think one of the Disneymania stars could have fun with it.
  
  
• "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from Little Mermaid. Didn't the Jonas Brothers just record this? I would have rather seen this on the last Disneymania cd, rather than what they did. But I think either gender could cover this, but it would be awesome as a girl group cover. Cheetah Girls could do a sexy rendition, perhaps? Haha.
  
  
• "Friend Like Me" from Aladdin. Another fun song some guy/guy group could do.
  
  
• "You've Got A Friend In Me" from Toy Story. Another fun duet. Would love to see a couple of 'Disney pals' do it, like Ashley and Lucas, or Monique and Corbin, or Aly and Ricky or SOMEBODY. I wouldn't even mind Miley and Emily doing this! (It would actually fit them and their country-ness...)

So yea...those are (some) of my ideas. Anybody else got some?

I know the Cheetah Girls did this one but they total ruined it. "If I Never Knew You" from Pocahontas. One they haven't done but should is "Love Will Find A Way" or "We Are One" from The Lion King 2

Um...I think they should do more Mulan, besides freakin' "Reflection" and "True to Your Heart". I mean, I know that there really aren't that many songs in the movie, but the few that are there, are fantastic! And freaking fun to sing. (I would know, I've been singing "I'll Make A Man Out of You" with my friend for the a couple periods during my drama class.)

And along with "Zero to Hero" from Hercules, I think some more people should sing "A Star is Born" 'cause I hearts that song.

Ooooh and I'd love to see more songs from Tarzan. :3 BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL AMAZALING! 8D

Dude, "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" would be amazing. XD I love that song. I think it would be hilarious for someone to do "You'll Bring Honor To Us All" too. Some girl group could have a lot of fun with that!

I think someone could have fun with "Son Of Man" or "Trashin' The Camp", too. "Two Worlds", "You'll Be In My Heart" and "Strangers Like Me" have all be done though. (Though one can never have too many versions of "You'll Be In My Heart", I suppose.)

I would love to see "If I Never Knew You" redone as well, cause the Cheetah Girls did pretty much destroy it...its supposed to be a pretty love duet. Not...whatever that is. Lol. (But it IS better than some of their stuff...)

I wish they would cover those songs that everybody forgets about... like "Stories" from Beauty & The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. That song is GORGEOUS and any female soloist could do it nicely if the tried. Another one that would be nice is "For A Moment" from Little Mermaid 2 (which never had a soundtrack! BAH!) or maybe even "Tip And Dash - Adventures/Explorers"...that would be hilariously fun.

Mandy also thinks that Blake Lewis from American Idol would make an amazing version of "Friend Like Me", complete with beatboxing

And the Cheetah Girls should do "A Star Is Born" cause thats the kinda stuff they can rearrange to work, me thinks.

I would love to see somebody due "I'll Make A Man Out Of You". I've been wanting that on disneymania for quite sometime. I never thought about "You'll Bring Honor To Us All", but that would be extremely cool to make.

A few songs I would personally like to be on Disneymania would be "Best Of Friends" from Fox and the Hound. I think this is a cute song and someone should acknowledge redoing it.

I think a group could have a lot of fun with "Everybody Wants to be a Cat". It is a fun and catchy song and could be sooo good if anybody wanted to take that on.

I would LOVE to see "What's This?" from Nightmare Before Christmas be done. I am inlove with this song and it would be nice to have something from TNBC on disneymania.

Basically anything from Hercules, besides "Go The Distance", would be good and fun for anyone to sing and re-create.

"Why Should I Worry?" would be totally and completely awesome. I'm such a sucker fot this song. It's sooo good and should be awesome if remixed.
And dare I say it? "Fly A Kite" from Mary Poppins. I would love love love for someone to re-style that. I really think it would be so cool.

There are so many songs that could be so much fun and amazing that haven't been done before. Disneymania and the stars recording the songs need to be more creative during the song selection process.

Also, if deleted songs are fair game (they've done 'Proud of Your Boy' from Aladdin, right?), I would die of happiness if some group were to do 'High Adventure' from Aladdin.

Also, I would love for someone to do 'Me' from BatB Broadway. Or, really, any Gaston song.

And there's no chance of it, but anyone covering 'Minnie's Yoohoo' would be hilarious.

YES. BATBoB songs should be done. "Me" or "No Matter What" or "A Change In Me" or "Home" or ANYTHING. Great stuff in that musical. And now I want Little Mermaid Broadway stuff done too, like "She's In Love". Cause that would rock. And maybe "Jolly Holiday" from Poppins? (The movie version, though.) "Fly A Kite" would be fun too.

Also think someone could do a lovely version of "Baby Mine" from Dumbo.

And I totally concur that "Best Of Friends" would be a GREAT song! I'd love to hear someone do that one...its such a lovely song and it gets so little attention. And YES. "Why Should I Worry", or ANYTHING from Oliver would be FABULOUS. Imagine the fun they could have with reworking those songs.... SO awesome. Disney, plz look at this thread and get ideas. Haha.

I definitely think they should do "I'll Make A Man Out Of You"! I also want them to remake "That's How You Know" because I didn't like Demi Lovato's version.
