Alice in Wonderland is being recreated into a new film directed by Tim Burton and due out in 2010.

In the film, Alice is 17 and ends up following a white rabbit down a hole back into Wonderland. But Alice cannot remember going to Wonderland 10 years earlier. So I guess you can say it's a sequel of sorts.

Since it's directed by Tim Burton, some are saying the film is too dark. I've seen some pictures from the film and I think it looks absolutely stunning so far.

Personally, I'm really excited for this film to hit theaters. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm excited for this, because I love Alice in Wonderland and Tim Burton, and nervous because I hatehatehate "dark" interpretations of AiW. People claim the books are really dark, but as someone who read the books so many times she broke the spines by age 7? They're really not. :\

That said, I am really intrigued by the visuals of the film and the girl playing Alice is really cute!

Also, if anyone here is familiar with the When Curiosity Met Insanity comic on lj, I've heard some pretty . . . interesting spoilers in relation to that. >_>

I also don't like "dark" interpretations of Alice in Wonderland, but I don't think that this movie has yet (or will) cross that border.

I'm happy with all of them, though Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter kind-a creeps me out a little. But I trust Tim Burton, he hasn't let me down yet so I'm sure he won't disappoint.

yes, it will be under Disney. I personally can't wait for this to come out. I am so excited. It looks like it is going to be a stunning film and i just can't wait. It seems like an awesome film and I know Tim Burton won't let us down.

I was just gonna say yes, that Disney would be doing this film but Tina beat me to it. laugh3.gif
