So quiet was the night, that when one paused their breath and haulted their movements, they would hear nothing. Their ear drums would feel as if they would burst...and then you cannot hold your breath any longer and then there is sound again. It was this eery silence, this complete and udder noiselessness that drew the Beast to the center of the valley. They called this place 'Defeated Souls'. Hmm, an interesting name. To him it appeared a place to sit and think amongst the compelte silence, to meddle in your thoughts and perhaps meddle in others - saying you had the time to imagine these practice.
Either way, it would be his home for the moment, seeing as how the dark lands were off limits until he met a few souls. A funny law of the land, he thought. But he had to admit...he'd rather be alone and wander than own any lands. That is, if she naught ever appear. He couldn't smell her, couldn't hear her. Was she here? Everything within him screamed 'no', but should one be so quick to give it up? How long had it been since he had last seen her? What was his last words to her? He couldn't remember. Perhaps three years? More? Her face was still as clear as when he last saw her, but the twinkle he remembered in her eye was fading. Was this a metaphor of his hope? Was his hope fading? He couldn't tell, nor did he really want to. All he wanted was her...
The clearing opened up to him like wide arms, caressing his tired body in a soft grasp. There was noise, now. The creek that dribbled through the land. His lips trembled as they reached for the water. How long had it been since his last drink? Days. It had been perhaps days. He had gotten his liquid from the grass, the dew left upon each blade of each morning. And, of course, from the blood he had been taught to lap up. His desire for the meal had wilted the moment he met with Blue Sky. She was too delicate a thing to be tainted in tasting such a food. The meat of any animal was too demonic for such an angel. His eyes shut. His whole life he had been called a demon, a liar, a traitor...someone so dark and evil even the darks hated and feared him to a point. Macon just hated him. It made him smile. She didn't want her precious Crow to know of her first child. She didn't want Blue to know either. But it was something inside of Lupine's soul that told him to not do it, not Macon's desire. Perhaps in his own cruel world, he imagined the family meeting up with the first born. He had wanted to tell Blue Sky after the war. And now, as he drank the warm water of the creek, he looked back and remembered that the vow he made himself would never be realized. Not until he found her.
Would that day come? Would that day come where he would once again watch as the moonlight cupped her cheek and danced around her soft body? Would the day come when he say her breath being released from her lips in the cold nights of December? Would they? He told himself yes...but the answer he had not yet dared to face was no.
Or was it yes?
So confusing the thoughts of a single stag. So twisted and tormented they are when there had been pain that caused it. Too many questions. Too much to think. He tried to not think. To listen. Listen to the complete silence - save the creek - and watch his thoughts drift by so he could gather peace. But there was no peace. One would think he would have learned by now - after hundreds of trials - that he could not escape the many voices inside his skull, forcing the thoughts upon him.
Leave me!
His voice was the crack of a whip in the silence, only deep and rumbling as the thunder, rather that short like the snap of the lightning. Such a deep voice could only come from the depths of Lupine's chest, as round and large as it were. A monster. He was a monster. Call him that, and you would be following the many horses before you who caled him such. You'd be following a script. Nothing new. Call him that, and you please or upset him...depending on how much the voices inside that large head of his had disturbed him that day.
He finished his long drink of the warm, muddy liquid and lay in the long grass dry of the morning dew. He had never stayed up to watch the liquid beads appear on the blades of grass. One day he would do that, he decided. But not without Blue Sky. He had waited to watch the sun go down and come up until he did it with her. He would wait for that insignificant moment when the beads appeared upon the grass. He would wait.

Another was placed into that section of the land as the one whose voice seemed to rumble and be low like the depths of hell. This one though was a vix.Not meek, not kind, but trying to be less like her family if it was possible. Already she possessed the lovely blood bay hue from her grand dam and her pale blue eyes from her mother who was looking for another stag to give her a baby.So far from her count there were how many? One,two,three...four......seven.Yes, that was the number...seven. Seven stupid children that either gained Nicoda's stupid personality or their fathers lack or knowledge for a smart fea who called herself dark.Yet her mother was nothing like it ,just a neutral who was confused on who the heck she wanted to be with and if she actually was the best. She thought so.She even told Lacora that everyone wished to be like her. There was a fat chance of that.Even her own daughter though she was stupid and didn't deserve to live, but then again Lacora always thought like that about horses.
Now lets start with her name .Lacora,it was given to her by her father who killed some mare by the name of that and yet she was a light. So blessed Lacora was with the name...yeppie.What else did she have ?Nothing really ,but this voice in her head that kept her sane.It was Egypt's little present to her before she died.Sad thing it was ,but not there was no end to the comments about others and what she did.She enjoyed the fights now and again ,but still it seemed that it would not go away .E Egypt called it for she never told Lacora the gender ,just E was all she said.' E still is looking for another young one to take over" would be one of her random sayings ,or ' Shut up E will keep yelling and then you'll be screaming" the only smart thing that came out of her mouth was something about an enemy and nothing to lose.Ah yes,"A enemy with nothing to lose is the most feared enemy" and yet that was what Lacora was.She had nothing to loose ,but her life.If they killed Nicoda she would only be thankful ,maybe then she should pick a fight with someone .After all the less blood lines of Nicoda there is the less retards there are.
The vixen slunk out of the shadows with a smirk placed upon her mug.So this was the stag called lupine,or who ever the one Blue sky loved. Not much of a looker is he? be nice E not all stags can have looks and those that do many times are like Nicoda you still like her you know it yes just like I love the lights see I finally got you to say it,don't hurt to tell the truth now does it? the vixen quickly rolling her orbs around in their sockets listening to the reply of E who she was about to call Egghead from her annoyance ,but maybe if she was mocking this stag he she would too... fat chance shut up.She kept moving not looking in front of her ,but listening to her thoughts before the two and a half year old ran into the stag.
"My god E you did it again!" she plunged her hoof on the ground as her heard the laughter inside her head and glared."Well you saw me coming why didn't you move?Unless your like Nicoda all looks and no brain?"she looked up at the stag fully aware that he could kill her if he decided to attack ,but then again she could always win, besides she wasn't afraid of him or anyone.""So your lupine?Almighty king of the wolves" she let her laughter silently come from her mug. ' You sound drunk so maybe I am.' Your worse than Egypt' I told you I wanted to be different didn't I?" I just didn't know how different' besides where would I get beer anyway? She then looked at the stag again with a smirk,"Ello I'm Lacora queen of the drunks as E says, and she thinks your um...hold on"she looked to the ground again before adding."um...my dad,no wait" she looks at the ground again,"No, retarded...No,gay,No,um..." She pounded the earth with her dagger and growled,"MAKE UP YOUR MIND!"

He was near the moment when the black abyss would take him to dreamland. His eyes were gaining weight more rapidly than a newborn elephant. His chin was already in the grass, his nares slightly tickled by the dry blades of grass. A sound woke him, however, and his eyelids no longer weighed more than nothing. He rose without hesitation, standing stock still as he watched a young mare wander into the clearing where he had taken residence not an hour before. She spoke to herself, no, argued with herself. She reminded him of a mare he met long ago. A schizo. Though this one seemed incredibly mild and normal to the mare he met so long ago. No matter.
His eyes followed her as she ran straight into his chest, not nearly high enough to reach his dial, his facade was out of her way. Angered with this, she yelled at him for not moving. Pfft, he didn't have to move, now did he? It was always others that moved around him. Always. With an exception, of course.
Yes, I saw you coming toward me, but why should I move? All looks? You think I have looks?
A smirk lifted the corner of his mouth a tad, pleased with this odd sense of humor whatever god or demon had to send this mare to him. There was a slight moment when she seemed to be thinking to herself, perhaps having a silent conversation with herself. The opposite corner of his mouth curled upward. Ha ha ha...she was quite the character. In her eyes, he must have no brain and all the looks. Ha ha...she had two brains that argued with eachother.
Nevermind that. How'd you know my name? And this E person...I suppose that's your second brain?
His smirk lightened and turned back to a straight line, his eyebrow moving upward. How did she know his name? And who would say he was 'king of the wolves'? Ha ha ha...what a silly title. Wolves? He wasn't named Lupine because he was king of the wolves. He was named Lupine because his father's name was Wolf. Just like Crow's father was Hawk. It was somewhat part of the custom to name your son after the father...or mother if she was more powerful. Crow could have been named after Macon...but what did Macon mean? It meant Dawn of Death and how could you name a child after that? It was much harder than Hawk. But whatever.
Queen of the drunks? What a prestigeous title.
He scoffed at the young mare. She seemed quite young...three...two...somewhere around that age. A fair amount of years stood between him and her and it made his chest puff ever so slightly and for the briefest moment. What intrigued him was the fact how she dared to challenge him as if he were her age and size. She was different. Hmm...
Well, it seemed as though she was enough to take his mind off of Blue Sky, so he supposed she could stay around for a tad.

So, he was the love of blue sky?Sad that he chose a light Nah she seems ok ,but she doesn't deserve him. And you do?I never said that ....No, actually I can't see myself being his little girl besides he's what..four?Five?Seventy?Nah too old and by the time I'm his age he'll be a crusty old elder last time I checked that didn't bother you when did you check you got methought so The vixen turned to the stag again and shook her head.So this was how she was going to be for the rest of her life?A blood bay vixen who was crazy because some moron who liked to be known as E was messing with her head....Hmm she liked it a lot actually .Maybe then she could scare more horses or make friends, but right now she just wanted to play with the wolf king because after all she was "drunk" and weren't drunks' little person that told them right from wrong sleepy?Well then time to play.
"Nah, that's E that said that ,but that's how Nicoda is even though she's not even ...erm okay looking ,more of a ugly mare that will run off with any stallion that comes her way ,but then again that was how I was made wasn't it?" she would have raised an eyebrow if it was possible as the stag seemed to be trying to be as tall as possible. It wasn't her fault though. Her mother was Arabian and what ever the stag Egypt was with. Then their was her father who was some type of taller than that yet he too was shorter than drafts. What was he again?Mustang or Morgan,no matter it started with a M and so that was what she was......short. look at it on the bright side there's still hope for those miniatures horses to like youthen my kids would be stubby ...ew no She looked to Lupine again as his next choice of words hit her ears.
"That's for me to know unless you ask Macon.." she was cut short as once again her thoughts had to take over so she could be corrected or merely annoyed with other things that most likely meant nothing to her conversation ,but still she listened. Macon's dead stupid ....remember that cavalla mare killed her...weirdly she had the same mark as Macon did fine"Never mind she's dead cavalla...hey what happened to your ear. Looks like Egypt got you too...stupid mare .I hope she likes the river bottom though it's not too fun being eaten by fish if your a rotting corpse."She looked up at his ear again and smiled slyly flicking her own so her torn flesh was shown though hers was in a shape almost. It looked like a zigzag that went wrong in a few places and then stopped to let the owner be pained for it's own pleasure.
"Queen of the Drunks?Yep, she loves to give me nicknames ,but yet nothing suits her yet she's just annoying ,but meddling in my thoughts she does I don't let her into my memories.SHe can't take those." she looked over the stag again and shook her head with distate.Too bad he was already in love with another shela. She would love to see him with an actual dark mare. Not her of course because she didn't like dark that's were black. It was too much of a labeled color. Every horse that was black seemed to be dark for some stupid reason and it annoyed her,but you never saw red roan, paints, whites, or blue roans many times ,but sometimes their was some.not even buckskins or palomino's were darks but lights.yet she was a blood bay who seemed to be in every little side.

Macon's dead, eh? Didn't think it would be possible.
He smiled. Good...now that she was out of the way, when he found Blue Sky, there would be nothing that would make the relationship difficult. He remembered that within the first few days of them meeting, Macon had begun to push him away from Blue, introducing other young colts to the filly in hopes she would no longer be interested in him. But it was too late. They were hooked, and he had felt it had been meant to be. His thoughts had been interupted when the mare began to babble once again.
Egypt? Nah, I do not know anyone by that name. The rip in my ear is from a stag who wanted to kill...nevermind. Why should I be telling you all this stuff about me?
His brow furrowed and he grew sour within the instant. He had let his gaurd down and now the mare was prying into his history. The memory of Blue's near fatal encounter was a hard blow on Lupine. Another memory he had forgotten had arised in that moment, though he decided not to think of it. What had happened was a stallion who tried to kill Blue in order to get to Lupine and kill him along with Macon and Crow. She had gotten a nasty scar and was bleeding horribly by the time he had arrived. He had never left her alone any other time but that one, and when he had gone to meet with the leaders for some meeting, he had gone off to find her in a bloody mess and sprawl with a large, rogue stallion. Lupine was but two years old, the talk of war was close and the Council 13 was discussing who would all go to war. It was not yet that they would realize they needed all the power they could get.
His intentions were to get rid of the Rebels. The first thing he went for when we fought was my ear...I had my mark there, on the tip.
He had noticed the marks near Blue's mark...so close he had come to ripping the patch right off her leg. It had scared him - one of the few times - with all the blood that was spewing from her. It looked more than what was really there, but it had scared him badly. She had scared him. She was the only one that had scared him.
So this E...she talks to you? Is she a ghost?
He chuckled a little at the thought. Ghosts...hahaha...what a joke. Was this mare really as nutso as he had first assumed? Would it not be an open invitation for him to play around with her mind...let her believe things? Ha ha...it had been too long since he had done such a terrible thing.
[ooc] well, that sucks (my muse is officially dead. Right now I am shopping for a new one, lol) and so sorry for the delay...I'm terrible.

She shook her head. She was crazy as he was thinking good, but she did know how to shun E away or make her be quiet for she could threaten and the mare as she liked ot call E knew she spoke her word and hte truth was if there was no Lacora for E to possess then there was no E unless she found another of the Egypt bloodlines and then there would be another crazy in the fmamily. There always are many of us you know every Egypt is crazy at heart. We live to see those suffer, and wait for the lights to fall. The neutrals will then be next and it is out future to kill them all ,with a big army that is why Egypt bred. She knew of this even though her parents and before were nothing ,but darks and neutrals that wanted to be darks. but unlike Egypt I will bring the light's down fall so there is no need for children what ever you say.
"Because you trust me since I know about you and blue sky, macon, cavalla" she took a breath and gave him her sexy smile if it was ever possible"I know alot mroe than you know ,but then again lot less then other like you and blue, but crow what a stag he will be only if he can shy away from that vixen from the light dubbed Neci.Innocent ,hurt, and such a fun toy even though she tries hard for his love."She would have raised her brow to see if it registered on his memories ,but it really didn't matter because he knew nothing about her that she cared about and she knew alot about him to an extent and well she could use that to power. Her grand mother knew alot bout horses for she listened to took things to mind and stowed then away ,like in E to give to those later if like that story ,but then again it could be the fact that Lacora here beleived that she had her grand dam's mind.Such a weird future.
"E talks to Lacora, and Lacora tlaks back, but E cannot be controlled ,and yet she can be.She lives and yet she doesn't.Figure it out wolf king"

His dial tilted slightly as he listened to the crazed mare speak at will. She was crazed, he knew that, but she wasn't an idiot. In fact, she would be a useful tool in finding Blue Sky...would she not? Lacora knew about him and Blue and Macon...and Crow and everything that had been going on in his family - was Macon like a step mother now? And Crow a step brother? - as if she were a stalker. Scary, odd, frightening...he would have liked that in a mare were it not for that fact she was stalking his family...and him? Was she, had she, been stalking him as well? If she had, that was okay, because he had done nothing that was out of the norm for a dark stag. He didn't think so, anyway. And if she found reason to tease him about anything it would be about him loving a neutral - dark mare (she most likely would find Blue more of a light than anything...but that would have to be out of simple ignorance) and Lupine would not care what she thought of them together. Being with her made him no lighter, no darker. He was who he was and thus, he was free to love who his heart chose. And his heart had chosen Blue Sky.
He laughed at the mention of Crow. Such a nasty little colt. Many feared the result when he was to grow into a stud. How big? Macon's family had a long line of big bodies. And say Crow grew into the feared giant, he would have power. He already established himself in the Rebel herd...just ask any Rebel of 'Crow' or even mention the name, and they quickly adjust their mind to 'what a nasty colt'. And to hear he was hanging out with a lighty named Neci...oh this was too good!
A light? Never pictured the boy to hang out with the alliance.
Ironic, wasn't it, that he hung out with a light while back in the day he teased Lupine for haning out with the lighty Blue Sky. He hardly referred to the mare as his sister or half sister. In fact, it was rare you heard him refer to her at all. It was out of the despise of her that she shared Macon's attention, for he strived for all of it, the greedy little soul. And now, in all irony, he fell for a lighty - perhaps he had... - or he was being the ass he was bound to become and was simply using her for something else. But what? Hmm...unfortunate for the light, Crow was a clever body.
Enough of E. Who is this Cavalla? Do I know her...and why'd she kill Macon?
A funny question to ask; Why did she kill Macon? Macon was a please do not use this word by all standards. She was a brat, a wench, a witch, a liar, a deviless and she knew it. She used all her power for bad and did it with such precision and accuracy, that she had gotten to the point where all she needed to do was look at you and you went silent. A dictator, a tyrant, Macon was someone who many respected and feared. Who wouldn't want to kill such a fantastic icon? To kill someone that big in power could only end in your own gain, right?
Unless...had Macon become loved? Both hate and love mixed to where, yes, everone despised her but would they dare live without her? I told you she was a tricky being, so slick and cunning that you mourn her death even when you hated her very soul when she had lived. It was funny though, after all these years, someone had gotten enough of her, of this circle, and snapped. But why now? What had Macon the Magnificent done to drive this mare over the edge, snap her final nerve? A funny thought. Wouldn't it be entertaining to hear what horrible torture Macon devised?

The mare shook her head almost trying to stop her self from laughing at the stag. He was like a babe now, always looking for information for her brain grabbing at the one that had the info trying to pry them of it.She turned around so she was facing away from her ,so what would he do if she refused to tell the information to him? He'll get pissed I don't care that's his fault so if he kills me he would get the information anyway so you've gotten smarter No.The mares let her orbs roll in their sockets at the vixen's comments and then raised an eyebrow if at all it was possible. This was such a weird conversation. She telling miss Blue's hubby that their lives were all messed up.How was it that she knew about cavalla?Easy Macon and the war in Fp.You really didn't think she would not be more like Egypt than her more ? No I thought you'd be like Nicoda You don't even think so Shhh She was the one that listened and watched everything taking everything she could from the sights and sounds ,thus her information about people that they didn't know they gave out. example? your an another mare that wont get out of my head because Egypt sent you here goo.
"Well, not everything is what they seem Wolf king
She smirked at his last question .You'd think darks would be careful of what they said because annoying little buggers could end up twisting the words and making an answer that would annoy the one they were talking to.She turned around now listening to the stag telling her to stop talking about E.She would stop when she wanted for E always talked to her not him so thus that was all she talked about when there was nothing to talk about.Confuesed? Good, so was she. Why do I even bare this insanity then leave no thanks[/s] that's what I thought.Blood covered dagger pounded the ground out of boredom. This was beginning to become annoying. So why not annoying him with a childish answer?Well that's a good idea chica.
"Because she wanted you."The mare chuckled once more before actually answering something straight,"She's a mare,I don't know,I'm not you"she took a breath before parting her kissers once more to give out another annoying answer"I will when I want"
