Welcome
Welcome to Constellation.
This is a literate/advanced site set in an alternate-reality version of the city of Baltimore, where normal citizens, street rats, and individuals who are drowning in politics and danger all come together. There's a place for everybody in Charm City.
If the plot doesn't float your boat, (pun definitely intended) there is a section for everyone else. Here you can choose between dabbling in the site-based plot or your own one on one.

blue light district If you stand on top of a roof and look over the city, you can see a rim of little blue lights that blink on periodically. They mark the security cameras, and the large circles they form in the city mark the dangerous neighborhoods.

inner harbor this is the place that tricks newcomers into thinking Charm City really is Charm City. It's a well-manicured tourist trap that curves about the water, offering everything from the educational experience of the Aquarium to the shopping experience of Pratt & Light Place. (Just don't get too comfortable. Fights are known to break out on bad days.)

canton A square just outside of Little Italy, with cute little shops and bars/restaraunts...mostly bars. Parking is limited, so if you don't get a spot, either have to park on the grass in the middle or risk the back alleys and dark roads.

market street Only a few blocks down from the Inner Harbor sits a row of clubs and catinas. During the day it is quiet, save for kids running in and out of Port Discovery and McDonalds, but at night the street is open air-drinking. Regardless, one can never get away from the packs of tenagers roaming about, especially when a concert venue with the household name of Ram's Head lets out.

station north arts district Known as Station North, this is the neighborhood home to Baltimore's artsy folk. Formerly an area of abandoned warehouses, SmartGrowth has made it in to a center for various commercial venues, such as theaters and museums, as well as some residential lofts.

the metro pale tiled floors lined with yellow, a simple narrow strip with a set of tracks on either side. from the ticket counters and machines, the descend into the earth is dimly lit and rather narrow, with dirt in every crack and mice scampering between the lines of the trains. the benches are simple slabs of stone, and glass is used wherever it is pratical. down here, no one cares if you scream.

fells point With its cobbled stone streets and its waterfront location, Historic Fells Point has long been a favorite attraction for young and old alike. An eclectic collection of stores line the streets, and alongside these stores, you'll find a charming selection of pubs, restaurants, and night clubs.

little italy little italy is located in the heart of downtown renaissance Baltimore. nestled between the inner harbor and historic fells point, you will find a cozy neighborhood of mostly Italian residents and trattorias. just across the harbor from federal hill, you can also reach little italy by water taxi, a short walk across the canal bridges, or a romantic horse and carriage ride from the inner harbor.

mount vernon the cultural district. unlike station north, it is more refined and mostly for the upper class -- for people who care about art museums and the arrangement of foliage, things of the like. of course, no one can completely keep any undesirable part of the city away, but Mount Vernon certainly succeeds in discouraging them. everything is pristine and made out of stone or marble, and parking is severely restricted due to the narrowness of the roads.
