Makes you wonder if Chaplin's company knew about all of these little ads and stuff and approved them or if these cigarrette companies, etc. just took liberties and used these stars without their consent. With the number of things that used Chaplin's image like that in those days, it would have been hard for him to keep tabs on all of it. I know that Association Chaplin handles such affairs today, but I wonder if Chaplin's business managers did something similar back in the day.

Thanks for the cards. It shows a unique piece of history.

As far as I know, Sydney took care of chasing up such matters.
So many slipped through the net, but 'The Home Mirror' card
was probably a legitimate Chaplin release I would imagine.
