I know! That Pilgrim one is really quite disturbing! But, perhaps what's even more frightening is that I think Chaplin actually did pose like that; I don't think that's touched up!

I have to agree with Elm, I don't think that's a touched photo. I'm pretty sure it's how Chaplin posed. I think it's in the Chaplin: Genius of the Cinema book as well.

It is freaky looking for some reason. I think it's the makeup.

Thanks about the avatar quote! smile.gif They're all good except that Pilgrim one, again. He looks constipated.

Not too sure "constipated" is the word I'd use!

Actually, I've always thought he looked constipated in the picture that is the last one in the second batch from HTTK.
Speaking of avatars (not that I was, but others were), Chaplyn, I like yours. Slippery Elm, have you decided to keep the one you've had? I still think you should.

(Would anyone know why my "current time zone" is 5 hours ahead of the actual time? According to what's showing here, it's past 11:30 PM, and it's actually 6:37 PM EST. Oh well, I can pretend I'm in England or somewhere).

betrayal. And I was angry. "God", I said,This is terrible! Why don't you do something? God was silent for a moment, then He spoke softly. I have done something, He replied. " I created you".

Ahh! So, once again we have stumbled upon a heretofore undiscussed topic: Chaplin's bowel movements.

Yes, I think I'll stick with my avatar. It is rather appropriate, after all. It was only fun to think of trying out a new one, but I'm one of those people who's very averse to change.

I don't know why your time zone is messed up, Terra Cotta, but you can fix it in your "My Controls" bit.

I just read that last post here at work during a planning period. I was laughing out loud, when a student came back into the room to get something she wanted to type up in another class. (I told her another teacher had sent a funny e-mail). Isn't there a full page of that picture of Charlie in My Life in Pictures? It's next to another oh-so-attractive one where he looks like a braying donkey.

How did you make out traveling in the snow this past weekend, Scraps? We had over 20 inches here.

Slippery Elm, thanks for the My Controls suggestion, although that is where I went first, and couldn't find a way to change it. Maybe I am missing something. When I am not logged in, the correct times are on the posts, but whether logged in or not, it remains 5 hours ahead under My Controls. No big deal, just one of those little things that annoy me. (By the way, I am another one who does not like change).

Ah-Ha! I figured out the time problem. I was under South African time or something.
