Here are two postcards I recently bought at ebay I would like to show you:

They are from the German company "Ross Verlag" which was founded in 1912. The owner had to emigrate to the U.S.A. in 1938 and the company was taken over by the "Tobis Filmkunst GmbH". Therefore my postcards must be older than from 1938. I think they are even older because the one with Pola Negri must have been taken around 1922/23. But no matter how old they are I like them very much and they are in a frame on the wall now.

Didn't he supposedly throw water on her and the young Mexican woman Kono found in his (Chaplin's) bed, to break up a "catfight" the two women were having over him? (I once threw root beer on my dog and my sister's/brother-in-law's dog when they were fighting in my livingroom. The dogs, not my sister and brother-in-law).

I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter...the cast-offs of human
society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and
betrayal. And I was angry. "God", I said,This is terrible! Why don't you do something? God was silent for a moment, then He spoke softly. I have done something, He replied. " I created you".

It really is great to have something from the old time and not just a reproduction. The greatest highlight now would be if I could go to Chaplin and ask him for an autograph on one of the vintage photos.
