.: Welcome :. .: Announcements :. .: Extras :.
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Tristan finally got to the hospital which what seemed like forever to him. Tristan bailed out of the car and opened Treddis' door and picked up Treddis into his arms. He carried her into the Emergency Room. Tristan walked up to the counter and stated, "Please you got to help me my friend, she is suffering from a drug overdosed. I have no idea what it was." Tristan tried to remember if there was anything else he needed to say to them

A doctor and a nurse ran over and Tristan placed her on the gurney they brought over. He watched as they took control over her and someone asked about her guardian and he replied, "Her brother is on his way and her name is Treddis." He didn't know if they needed to know that, but he gave it to them anyways. He tried to follow them back to the room they were taking her too, but they stopped him and told him he was not allowed.

Tristan took a deep breath and sat in one of the empty chairs near by.

Trevin flipped on his emergency lights and sped through the back roads to get to the hospital. He knew he could have gotten on the main road, but at this time of the night, every light would have been red, and he didn't want to run through them all. Running through a stop sign on a back road was less conspicuous. Kingston was back to sleep as soon as the truck had been put in motion and Trevin hated the fact that he was going to have to wake the boy up again.

Trevin pulled the truck to a stop in the closest parking space to the ER entrance he could find and consoled a fussing Kingston as he pulled his son from the car seat. He rushed as quickly as he could inside the building. Trevin went straight to the first nurse's station desk he saw and was motioned down the hall. He turned the corner and saw the kid who'd been at his house with Treddis sitting down at the end of the hall. He walked down the hall with Kingston asleep on his shoulder. He stopped in front of the kid and took a deep breath.

"Okay, you gotta tell me. What the hell happened tonight?"

Tristan looked up to the brother that had finally made it and the reason why he sent Treddis ahead was obvious to the little boy in his arms. He took a deep breath himself before stating, "I don't know much. She came in and sang, danced some, I didn't get to hang with her I was mcing the event. She was fine one minute then disappeared for maybe twenty to thirty minutes. I decided to go look for her found her laying down in one of the back rooms out of it. She was with a cop for most of the night. So I don't know what happened, but the bartender made her a drink if that helps."

He paused for a second, "They won't let me go back, but I can watch him for you if you want to go back." It was the least he could do to help out.

Trevin looked down at Kingston, asleep once again on his shoulder. He had to find out more about Treddis, and he knew that he wouldn't be able to do that with Kingston on his arm. He hated to leave this kid in charge of a four year old after the freak out the kid had been through already, but with Kingston sound asleep in the middle of the night, he could only hope that Kingston would stay asleep long enough for Trevin to make it back into the ER area, find out something, and get back to the kid.

"Okay, listen," he started as he moved slowly to transfer the little chunk that was his son from his shoulder to the one standing in front of him. "My name is Trevin if something happens. He should stay asleep, but just in case, here's a back pack with some books and his favorite little toy. I won't be gone long, I promise. I'll go find out what I can and be right back."

Trevin was grateful the transfer went well with minimal fuss from Kingston. He set the back pack on the empty chair next to where the kid had been sitting and disappeared through the doors quickly. He found the first person in a medical uniform and told them who he was and what he needed to know. The nurse found the information quickly enough, though to Trevin it seemed to take forever. She told him what she knew and that she would find out more and come find him the second she could.

Trevin wanted to see Treddis, but the nurse assured him the doctors were working on her and he would be able to come in and see her just as soon as they had completed their assessment. He didn't like the answer, but it was the only one he had. Trevin walked back to the area where the kid still stood holding Kingston. Thank God that Kingston was still sound asleep.

"I wasn't able to find out much yet. They're doing some tests and checking blood work. They're pumping her stomach now to be safe and they'll let me know something as soon as they can."

Trevin took Kingston back, knowing that the kid could get very heavy, very fast. He looked at the teen that had brought Treddis home and then to here. It was obvious that the kid cared about her, but just how much? "Hey - what's your name?" he asked as calmly as his still racing heart would allow.

Tristan looked at the man before him finally learning his name, Trevin rather than having to keep referring him to Treddis' brother that would be helpful. He took the kid and cradled him into his arms and slowly sat down in the chair with him. Kids were so much fun and he had the utmost respect for them because they go through so much now a days, but you never see them giving up like adults do.

He watched Trevin disappear into the ER and he rocked the little boy in his arms. It didn't seem like that Trevin was gone very long when he had returned though he was sure for Trevin that it seemed like it had been a very long time. He slowly gave the boy back trying not to wake him up...waking up here in an unknown place at that age would not be very fun.

Tristan tentatively listened to what he had to say about Treddis. His throat went dry for a moment and had to clear his throat before he could get anything to come out of his mouth, " She's going to be okay right?" Treddis didn't seem like someone that wouldn't give up without a fight, so she hoped that to be only true. He looked at her brother again when he asked his name and answered, "Tristan, Tristan Adams." He nodded and then looked down to his feet.

Tristan. Okay. Better than calling him "that kid" for the rest of the night. It was going to be a long night, that he could already tell. He thought once about calling Leigha to see if she'd come up to the hospital to help him with Kingston, but in the end, he decided to let her sleep until he knew for sure about Treddis.

"She's going to be okay, Tristan," he said reassuringly. He could tell that Tristan was freaking out about all this. Not that he could really blame him. He was freaking out, too. "I really believe she's going to be okay. I survived much harder drugs when I was her age than anything she could have been given in a drink." Trevin looked away from Tristan for a minute as he spoke. He wasn't exactly embarrassed by his past drug use, but he wasn't thrilled about it, either. He didn't like to talk about it, and he certainly didn't like the idea that he could actually use it as a comparison to what his kid sister was doing. God, just the thought of her getting into drugs scared him to death. He truly believed that God had spared him for a reason when he'd been younger, and he believed that keeping Treddis clean was a big part of that reason.

Trevin rubbed at his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose with the hand that wasn't holding Kingston. This was going to be a long night, he could tell. "What I wouldn't give for a cup of coffee right now," he said more to himself than anyone really. He looked back at Tristan. "It's gonna be a bit before they can tell us anything. You wanna go to the waiting room? Let me put this one down, get some coffee or something?"

Tristan nodded at Treddis' brother when he said that she would be alright. He didn't think much of it when he mentioned he had done drugs...everyone had experiment with something at one point in time right? Something had to went right for Trevin otherwise he wouldn't be here so worried about his sister having been drugged. He had seen parents who didn't care whether they were alive somewhere or dead in a ditch somewhere.

He looked at him when he asked him a question he nodded at first before speaking. "Yeah sure coffee...caffeine would be good right now." Tristan stood up and grabbed the bag so that Trevin could just worry about carrying the young boy.

Trevin was glad that Tristan was there. He honestly wasn't sure that he'd really be able to handle all this and Kingston, too, without having someone else there. True, Tristan wouldn't be able to do much to help, but just having him there for moral support was good enough for Trevin.

Trevin led Tristan a short distance away to a small waiting room just to the left of the hallway they'd just been standing in. Trevin moved a chair out of the corner of the room with his foot and as gently as possible, laid Kingston down on the floor. The blanket that was wrapped around the boy would be cushion enough for now, but he'd still try to get a pillow or something from one of the nurses if it looked they were going to be here all night. Luckily, there was a coffee machine just outside of the waiting room. It wasn't going to be very good coffee, that much Trevin already knew, but at least it was caffeinated. He paid for two cups and carried them both back into the small room. He handed one to Tristan and he grimaced visibly when he took a drink himself from the cup he had in his hand. He'd been right, it wasn't good. Honestly, he wasn't even sure it could be called coffee.

Trevin glanced at Kingston before looking back over at Tristan. "Do you know who she was with tonight?" Tristan might have already told him that. He honestly couldn't remember. But now that he had his wits about him, he needed to find out what he could. He needed to know if this was something she'd done to herself, or if it had been someone else deliberately trying to hurt her.

When Trevin came back with a coffee for him he nodded at him and took a sip. He smirked to himself, "Not exactly Star Bucks right?" Yet, he continued to sip it. It was hot and would keep him focused. He looked down to the boy sleeping on the floor that kid was the lucky one right now not an ounce of stress he had to worry about right now.

Tristan took a deep breath after the question Trevin had asked. He was leary about giving him the name of the officer. He finally said though, "She was with one of the local cops for the main part of the night. I don't know if there was anyone else she was with. She was there before I was."
