As she stood there in front of the headstone, her eyes hidden behind a pair of dark shades, she still couldn't believe it. Even though she stared at his grave, she still couldn't believe he was actual gone. It just seemed so unreal, like some sort of strange dream, a nightmare that one couldn't wake up from.

Paige pulled the sunglasses off to wipe the tears away from her eyes. Carefully she folded them before they were slipped into her bag, she'd need them when she walked back so no one would see the red, puffy eyes. A tissue replaced them, for a moment anyways, to help with the tears.

How could he be dead? How could he be lying six feet below her, but not on the other end of a phone when she calls his number by mistake? How could this be fair? What did he ever do to die at such a young age? Why did this have to happen now...

Shelby couldn't get Ezra off her mind today, so she had dropped JJ off at the sitters and headed over to the commentary. She wouldn't be there long she promised to take JJ to the park and she wouldn't disappoint her. Shelby pulled up to the lot and parked. As she neared closer with some flowers she spotted another person there.

After getting closer she knelt down placing down the flowers looking at the girl next to him. Shelby questioned, "Paige? Paige Worchester?" Shelby wondered if it was the girl she went to school with.

While she had been lost in her thoughts, drowning in the sorrow of the lose of a friend, she hadn't realized someone had walked up. Sure, she heard someone approach, but it hadn't registered in her brain that the someone came near her and didn't go no further. So to say she wasn't thrilled when she heard her name being called would be a bit of an understatement because she knew how foolish it was not to be aware of her surroundings.

Of course what made the whole thing worse was when she realized who'd been the one to drop by Ezra's grave.

"Yes?" she said as she clenched the tissue in her hand.

The fact that her eyes were distorted with the aftermath of crying hadn't been forgotten, but she knew it would be completely rude to pull her glasses down when Shelby had recognized her. She could only hope now that her former classmate would see the emotions she was going through right not and keeps this conversation brief. Paige needed to grief for Ezra right now, not a matter she had hoped would stay buried forever after she got out of Horizon.

Shelby noticed the way she kind of was brushing her off. So Shelby touched the gravestone in front of her and then spoke in a soft tone, "Well I guess you don't recognize me, but it's me Shelby we used to go to school together. Anyways it seems like you want to be alone, so I will leave you."

Shelby took one last look at the gravestone and took a deep breath before turning and heading back towards her car. She got out her phone and dialed her sitter, "I will be picking up JJ sooner than expected." Shelby got to her car and turned once more to over look Ezra's gravestone and where Paige stood with him.

Of course Paige recognized her, it was hard not to, but she kept the slight confused look on her face. That wound wasn't something she liked to revisit, all the pain and heartache, it royally sucked. She knew she'd have to be careful when she came here, she just hadn't realized how careful.

"Oh right, Shelby," she said, allowing the recognition slip into her voice. A small smile came to her face as she looked at the other woman, before she dabbed at her nose with the tissue. "Yes, I remember."

At the mention of her wanting to be alone, she gave a small nod. "Just saying..." The words got logged in her throat. Her hand came up to cover her mouth as she squeezed her eyes together. This still made no sense to her, that he could really be gone and it hurt so bad.

Though she had to wonder was the hurt of Ezra's death the only thing she felt at that moment?

Shelby got into her car after her moment she started the car and took a deep breath. Shelby looked at the grave side where Paige was and just shook her head wondering what the problem really was she could just sense there was more to it than Ezra's death. She knew there was and that was the profiler in her that knew that.
