Meeting a good Friend, Summer & Leigha

Summer had just sat down at a table in Dunbrook cafe. She had gotten a phone call from her best friend Leigha Mitchell. She had moved away, but they had been talking since she has been away. Summer told her that they could met at Dunbrook and catch up on old times. Summer knew the reason why Leigha had came back, that was because of Ezra death.

Everyone believe that he killed himself, but in her gut it was telling her that Ezra was murdered. She wanted to reopen the case, but she wanted to make sure at least one other person thought that it was murder as well before she reopened the case.

Summer took a sip of her water from the glass that was sitting in front of her. She hoped that Leigha would arrive soon. She wanted to catch up with what she has been doing since they last talked on the phone. She could tell that someone was standing a few feet behind her. She turned to see that it was Leigha.
"Hello Leigha." Summer said, as she got up and hugged her best friend.

Leigha was so looking forward to seeing Summer. It had been a while but she'd spoken with her often while she'd been gone. Now that she was back she'd have to spend more time with her closest friend. She walked into the Cafe and immediately saw Summer seated. A warm smile crossed her lips as she made her way over to the table. She stopped behind her and chuckled softly.

Summer knew she was there as she'd rose to her feet to hug her. Leigha hugged her best friend and patted her gently on the back. She released her moments later and sighed in contentment. "You look great, haven't changed a bit." Leigha's face was lit up with excitement at reuniting with Summer, it had been far too long. Only Summer knew that Leigha had planned on moving back.

Leigha sat down in the seat across from Summer and waved the waitress over. Leigha ordered a coffee, black then waited for Summer to place her drink order. Leigha wasn't all that hungry she was just here to catch up on what had being going on in Summer's life since she'd been gone. So much had changed here and so much hadn't. Another reason Leigha was here to meet with Summer was to convinced her to look deeper into Ezra's death. "How have you been? What's been going on? I want to know everything, leave nothing out."

"Thank you. you look great as well," Summer told her. After the hug that sat back down and ordered. Leigha ordered coffee,but she was fine with just drinking water.
"How have you been? What's been going on? I want to know everything, leave nothing out.
"I have been good. There nothing really going on. Just the usual thing happening around town. I heard from Canary that Ezra death wasn't a suicide. So I am going to re open the case once I hear from someone else that doesn't think that his death wasn't a suicide." Summer said. She wanted to get this case to be solved.

Summer cut right to the chase and mention Ezra's death and how she'd heard it wasn't a suicide. Leigha knew it wasn't and she looked across the table curiously at Summer. The only thing that Leigha knew about his death was that the authorities ruled it a suicide, that was all she knew. "I don't think it was, I'm certain it wasn't. I can't honestly believe that he'd kill himself." Leigha lowered her gaze from Summer and stared at the top of the table, her brow furrowed. "I'm really glad that you'll look into it. Someone needs to." Maybe Summer would be the one to blow this whole thing wide open and finally get all of them some honest answers. "If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I'll do whatever I can."

Summer wasn't surprised when Leigha spoke up. Leigha and Ezra had been friends. It would have been odd if Leigha didn't want his death looked into. She was glad that there was someone else that thought Ezra was murdered and did not committed suicide.

"I don't think it was, I'm certain it wasn't. I can't honestly believe that he'd kill himself." Leigha lowered her gaze from Summer and stared at the top of the table, her brow furrowed. "I'm really glad that you'll look into it. Someone needs to." Maybe Summer would be the one to blow this whole thing wide open and finally get all of them some honest answers. "If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I'll do whatever I can."


Summer looked up at her. She was glad that Leigha and herself made friends in High School and then came best friend a week later.
"I will let you know what you can do , when I figure out what I am going to do first. That is after I read and study his case file." Summer told her.

Leigha felt such relief after hearing that Summer too thought something was wrong with Ezra's proclaimed 'death' by the police. She'd had a feeling that Summer would look into his case but she couldn't be sure until now. She nodded when Summer told her she'd let her know how she could be helpful she was relieved upon hearing that as well.

She couldn't just sit around and do nothing. If she'd been in Ezra's place she knew without a doubt that he'd have done the exact same thing for her. She owed it to him not to let this go, she owed it to all of the people he'd touched while he'd lived. Leigha had no idea what Ezra's case file held, she imaged only those that looked into his case did but they were very tight lipped about it.

The waiter arrived with her coffee and she thanked him with a smile and turned to watch as he walked off. Her gaze returned to Summer then, her smile still in place. "What's been going on since I've been gone?" Now would be a good time to see what all had changed since last she'd been here.

"You know that I am not going to try and find out about others. If they want to tell me then they will tell me. So far I know that everything is going fine with everyone in town. Ezra death has hit people different ways." Summer told Leigha. Ezra was a friend to Summer. She didn't want to have this murder to go unsolved. She would have to talks to Detective Merrick first. She had told the Captain that if they need her help then she would help anyway she can.

Summer took a drink of her water. Summer was concentration on who had killed the man that she loved. Ezra was too young to die, Whoever had killed him was going to pay. Summer has been there all along, but her mind was going over what she knew about Ezra case. The police must have missed something. To rule it a suicide didn't seem right.

Summer would need permission to see the crime scene and see if there was anything that the police might have missed. Something just didn't feel right to her. She was going to figure out what was out of place. All that she hoped was in the end, her friends were all okay.

Leigha shook her head and held up her hand as if to halt her from interrupting. "No, I don't expect the 'dirt' on everyone. I haven't been here in quite a while and was merely curious as to who all was still living here, that sorta thing. Not their secrets or personal lives." She smiled across the table at her friend, very glad to be seated here and chatting with her. It was always a good thing to be able to catch up with a good friend.

Leigha wasn't a gossip monger, never had been but she was curious about what had been going on around here in her absence. The fact that Summer was going to look into Ezra's death was such an awesome thing and she couldn't begin to thank her enough. It meant the world to her and she felt very relieved to know that others besides herself had a bad feeling about Ezra's death.

"Yes. That's true. Ezra's death has affected quite a number of people in this town. But then again he'd had a profound of effect on many of us. Me included. I like to think that I'm the person that I am today because of him. And I hope that I meant as much to him as he meant to me. I guess we all hope that."

Summer knew that she meant the just of the towns member. The thing is Summer didn't really talk to to many people. She's friendly to others but she doesn't ask any information that isn't volunteer. She wonder if Leigha knew that Trevin sister was in town and that she was going to sing at the Obsidian.

She kinda of kept up with Trevin talking with him. Since Leigha care for him, and love him. Even if Leigha didn't admit it to her or to herself. She might as well invite her to the club to hear Treddis sing.
"Well Trevin sister is in town and she's going to be singing at the club Obsidian. Do you want to come and here her sing?" Summer asked Leigha.

Leigha hadn't seen a lot of Treddis but hearing her sing would be a great time and she smiled warmly over at her friend as she sat across from her at the table. "I'd love to hear her sing. Count me in. You want to meet me there? Or we can go together, I can come get you, either way is fine with me."

Leigha spoke little of her feelings for Trevin because when she did she was plagued by guilt for running so many times. If there was anyone she could talk to about it then it would surely be Summer. A frown replaced the smile resting on her lips and she sighed. Her gaze lifted and she looked back at Summer.

"I'm sure Trevin will be there," she said as she blinked her eyes. "Uhh, he knows that I'm moving back. He seems happy about it." She was happy about it herself but she wasn't sure if there was still room in is life for her, what with Treddis and Kingston to care for. "But anyway, it sounds like a good time. I'm looking forward to it."

"That great, how about we meet there." Summer sugguested. It had been a long time since she had seen her friend. Leigha had moved away, but she understood that she needed space, so she didn't push. She was glad that she had came back to stay.

Summer knew that Leigha would end up marrying Trevin. She just hoped when she did that she would be her maid of honor. She heard what Leigha said about Trevin reaction to her being back into town.
"That great, I think sooner or later theirs going to be bell ringing." Summer said, she wasn't sure if Leigha would catch on to the wedding hint or not.

Leigha smiled warmly at her friend, nodding her head in agreement. "I like the sound of that, we'll meet up there. Should be a fun night out. I don't get too many of those." It was her own fault, she let work become her number one priority but she was working on it.

She cleared her throat and thought about that for a moment, her and Trevin marrying. She'd like that, being his wife but that also meant she'd an instant mother. She wasn't sure that she was cut out for motherhood. She also didn't see Trevin asking her, not after all the times she'd run out on him.

"I don't know about that. I guess anything could happen. What about you Summer? Have you met an nice guys? Seeing anyone?" That was better, take the focus off her and put it on Summer instead. That and she was curious about Summer and whether or not she was dating anyone.

Summer could tell that Leigha was trying to get the light off of her. She knew the answer to her question.
"I have a few night like that."Summer said. She did see herself being married, but she didn't know exactly who she was going to married. It wasn't that she didn't date, it was just the fact that she really didn't have the time. Her investigation took up her free time. If she was lucky enough she would at least read a chapter of her book Heat Wave by Richard Castle. It's a mystery book, she loves mystery. Ezra's suicide was a mystery. She was going to find out what really did happen to him. "Yes anything can happen. I have met a few good guys, but my cases are keeping me busy. I am sure when the right guys comes I will know if he is the one for me.."
