General RPG Rules 1] LITERACY & POST LENGTH This is an intermediate-advanced RPG. Don't use chatspeak while in character, and use proper spelling and grammar. Don't one-line. Posts should be around 150 words. Sometimes people have more inspiration for one post than another, so it's okay if it's not consistent -- just try and match your partner's post length and have more than 8 lines. 2] RESPECT Your cooperation in this rule is especially appreciated. We want this roleplay to be accomodating to everyone willing to play. Please show consideration for the admins, be civil to each other, don't antagonize other members, and be friendly to newcomers. 3] REGISTRATION Sign up with your character's first, middle, and last name. Do not sign up with silly AIMish usernames. __aerosmith.xx is not great. Stephen Tyler is not great. Stephen Victor Tallarico is great. 4] APPLICATION Fill out the application in its entirety. Bold the letters "a," "b" and "c" anywhere in your Personality Section so we know you read the rules. If your application is declined, you must wait a week before re-applying. You only have one chance at redeeming yourself. 5] MULTIPLE CHARACTERS You can have as many characters as you can handle, but please keep in mind rule #6. 6] ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS You must post at least once a week. In the event you cannot meet this requirement, drop a note by an admin and we'll see what we can work out. (Vacations and family matters are completely reasonable excuses for not being able to post. But things like "writer's block" will most likely not be tolerated.) In-Character (IC) Rules 1] NO MARY-SUES Mary-Sues, also known as Gary-Stues, are idealistic characters. They are astonishingly beautiful, outrageously kind, extremely popular, amazingly smart, and otherwise perfect. At least, that's the generally accepted definition. 2] NO POWER-PLAYING OR GOD-MODING Power-playing is controlling one's character in your own posts. God-Moding is when your character is invincible or untouchable, whether it be physically, mentally, or emotionally. Everyone has weaknesses, and no one has super-powers. 3] FACE CLAIMS Choosing a person to use as your character's model is not required, but greatly encouraged. You may use MySpace or Internet idols, but you MUST include their MySpace URL when claiming them. You must be aware that those pictures are NOT your property and you are using them at your OWN risk; a waiting sky has NOTHING to do with who you use as your model. 4] SIGNATURES & AVATARS Avatars are required and must be 100x100 pixels and must not exceed 40KB
Signatures:- Maximum of 4 lines
- Empty line & images still count as lines
- Each line must be short enough that it doesn't wrap
- Maximum width for banner/image = 400 pixels
- Maximum height for banner/image = 175 pixels
- Maximum file size for banner/image = 40KB
To view dimensions & size of a graphic, right click and go to properties or image properties 3] DEATH, SERIOUS INJURIES, PREGNANCY In the event you want to kill off your character, seriously injure them, or make them pregnant, you will need to PM an admin with the details of the event (who is involved, when it will happen, and - in the event of death - why you are doing this). You must wait for an admin's approval before going on ahead with such a serious act.
Examples of serious injuries are: Car accidents, muggings/burglaries, rapes, poisoning, internal bleeding, accidental overdose, suicide of any form, wounds that require a hospital visit or more than 15 stitches, etc. 4] MATURE SCENES The overall rating of the board is R, because this is high school and kids have hormones and go crazy. So foul language (there is one censor), violence, and R-rated 'sexual situations' can occur. Put a warning in the beginning of the title with the rating (eg. "[RATED R] Bryce & Ryan get funkyyy" or "[RATED M] Ben & Jerry share a private moment").
InvisionFree does not allow NC-17 or X-rated material on their boards, and if they catch any of that naughty stuff on here, the board will be deleted without notice. The mothers of 12-year-olds probably won't like reading stuff like that either, and the admins don't want any angry moms on our ass. So characters can make-out, grope, and moan a little bit, but as soon as clothes start coming off you have to skip to the morning after or go into PMs and keep it there.
If you fail to include the appropriate tags or make a very graphic topic, it will be deleted by the admins immediately. 5] SEXUALITY I don't think the admins have to tell you that most of the characters will be gay, right? Don't be a homophobe, please.
