i get mixed up really easy when writing hangul when its a word like mianhae (미 안 내) or saranghae there are two ways to spell hAE :S i always ask if its the ㅏ(ah) ㅣ(ee) ㅐ (ae) or the ㅓ(uh) ㅣ(ee) ㅔ (eh)

is there anyway to tell?

BTW, where is the korean R llocated on the keyboard? =S

it's 미안해 ^^ they all sound different, it just depends on how people choose to romanize it ^^ for meㅐ is ae, ㅏ = a, ㅣ = i, ㅓ = eo, ㅔ = e

ㄹ is the "f" key on an english keyboard ^^

Hey, I'm probably the most native speaker here and I don't always get that correct. :P

And when you hear people talking, it's hard to tell which one was said. I'm sure most people would be able to tell what you are trying to say.

To me, those two vowels sound EXACTLY the same. I mean i think people exaggerate when they say they can't tell the difference between certain sounds like the t in korean that sounds like the american Tree and the tensed tt that sounds like the spanish tu, (the difference is really VERY obvious), but differentiating between those two "eh's" is another story... personally I think korean would get along just fine with just one "eh" vowel XD. But of course i really don't know any korean besides its alphabet, so this is coming from a relatively korean-language-ignorant person ^^;;;
