Emotions are always reflected in my writing. Poor Kudar has to be in a depressed mood because of me.

Anyone can join. We need all the activity we can get.

A broken fence trailed the soggy ground that had begun to thaw from the winter’s bitter cold and precipitate. The wood warped and decaying, look abused and out of place in the vast wilderness of Alaska. It trailed for at least a good half of a mile, seeming to serve so purpose. Any animal or person could easily pass over it, for it stood no higher than three feet, and many places it was broken open completely. Rusted nails protruded from random places, once connecting the rotting boards. However, the wall needed mending and those old nails wouldn’t hold against another winter’s beating. It would come down eventually. Whether a person were to wander by and disassemble it, or nature itself would have to. The wall didn’t belong there. It was out of place. Broken down by everything that surrounded it.

The sun overhead hid behind the orange hued clouds, as darkness threatened to settle over the land below. Activity amoung the animals of the wilderness was beginning to die down, except for those who were nocturnal. They were only just beginning to stir in the homes. Shadows lurked behind anything tall enough to cast a gray shadow. Everything had a sullen and shady look this day. A strange turn from the sunny and happy day it had been only a few hours ago.

Head down, Kudar wandered past the broken fence, giving it not attention or thought. His paws graced the soggy ground next to where the wooden fence had been forced into the ground. The ground itself looked bruised, for the ground was upturned and weeds grew. It would look so much nicer if the fence was gone. Right now it only seemed like a cancerous growth on the earth.

Kudar stopped by the fence, looking towards it suddenly. His yellow eyes ran across its features. It was sad and pathetic, almost how he felt. It was ugly and it seemed as if everything were rejecting it. Kudar could feel the knot in his stomach which was disgust towards the ugly fence. Yet, somehow he felt close to it. His nose flared as he sniffed at it. It carried no scent of other animals. That was because he figured every animal kept its distance. No one wanted anything to do with an ugly scar. Not even the vilest of creatures. Kudar sunk to his haunches beside the fence, looking somehow like he was meant to sit there. The sun melted behind the horizon, and the sky began to darken. The glow of Kudar’s yellow eyes began to fade slightly, as did the crimson of his fur. His grin faded, as he scanned the length of the fence which trailed much further away from him. What was he doing here?

Without devotion, our wounds turn to scabs.

--------------------
No one cares for me,
this is what I see,
The world in blackness,
No questions for me,
I know what you see in me,
You think I am so nice and sweet,
But inside I weep,
Looking for someone who can care...
For me...
