Opening Tournament Saga

The Tournament

This saga is going to be held on the planet, Tiamat, by an organization that has been renowned for gathering the inhabitants of the planet for an all out martial arts brawl. Almost anything goes in this tournament, as far as using your own physical body, or energy type abilities. The rules are very simple, and the battle takes place in an open, old ruin-like coliseum made of pure stone. The arena floor is made of granite typed tiles, each about two feet in width and length, and they total a large area of flooring to be used as a combat zone in a massive, 1200 sq. ft. area. If you can knock your opponent out of the ring, it counts as a technical victory, and if you can manage to incapacitate your opponent by beating them with your own might, you can cause a victory for the match by technical knock out. To keep the tournament running, you have the right to respond more than once in a topic if your opponent fails to post a response within 24 hours. This will cause the effect of your last attack to automatically hit, plus a critical hit in your next post... Mind you, there will be races from all over the universe hearing about this tournament and it's prizes, and they will all want a piece of this for themselves as well...

Tournament prizes:
First place winner - 500,000z
Runner up winner - 10,000z
All participants within the fighting tournament that didn't make it to the final battle will receive a gratuity of 1,000z for participation.

(Keep in mind this is a Saga, so at the end of it, everyone is reward additional gains in power level by much more than a normal fight topic gain, as well as additional bonuses for the saga completion.)

Tournament information:
The opening of the tournament begins on Monday, April 4th. All registration must be completed by then to begin the battling with paired opponents. Match-set ups will be drawn at random, and participant players must submit a random number through PM to Me or Rajikai, picking a number 1-9. There are going to be a few NPC's added to fill gaps and make the tournament bigger, and your own power level, if paired against these NPC's, will be taken into consideration for an even bout.

The Tournament is about to begin it's process of elimination! But! To begin this, you are required to prove to the judges you have what it takes to even enter this bout. You will need to post a small topic describing how you made it past the preliminaries, and into the actual tournament. Please don't hesitate to go overboard with these simple topics, and make your own topics in the Tenkaichi Budokai forum where it will all take place. If you would like to interact with other players, leave the topic open, otherwise state that the topic is closed. Spectators are allowed to enter any topic to post their opinion on the fighting going on. You will also be awarded a small bonus for completing this portion of the saga to use in the actual tournament fights, gaining a max of 1/2 of the original amount of stats you are capable of earning, save the 'musical influence' portion, in which case you may only gain a maximum of ten points for.

You may skip this process if you feel you don't have the time, but after today, the preliminary segment will be closed off to everyone, and the gains will be missed out on. The pairing up and tournament will begin on April 6th. So please review the above section of this topic, read it carefully!

The arrival of the saga boss is here! His first appearance is in the topic Let's rock this fight. started by Rajikai, in the last post that Richard made. After the closing of Raji's topic, we're going to begin progression of the saga with the same rules as before for posting. If the person above you doesn't post within twenty-four hours, you can skip that person and continue the saga. Posting order will be given as the topic unfolds into more people, but will more than likely be highly based off of a person's 'speed' stat.

For this saga, you don't have the option of siding with the boss, for everyone, other than Sibuna is dead to him until he get's what he wants. A resistance group will be built in attempt to fight him off, and until he's defeated he will ruthlessly attack anyone until he feels like his mission is complete. Prepare to defend your home planet, or new home planet, Tiamat, and it's innocent civilians from more of this evil changeling's reckless onslaught. See you in the battle!

(With the arena being destroyed, and the fleeing of all the people, the tournament is no longer undergoing it's cycle of championship. There is a new focus, after the destruction of the self-repairing mechanism that the boss happened to ruin with one simple attack.)
