Secrets In The TellingCedar Creek Summer Camp [CCSC]
Cedar Creek Summer Camp [CCSC] is a summer camp for teenagers aged 13-18. It is a place you either love or hate. One where you are either forced to attend, or would gladly spend your time rather than at home. It lasts the full twelve weeks of the summer vacation and is a place of fun, secrets and drama. Students mainly come from highschools in the surrounding area of Richmond County, North Carolina where Cedar Creek is located. For instance: Sweetwater High, Meadow Woods High, Country Creek High & Sunset Lakes High. But there are also a few students from other states within the US that also come here.
To attend CCSC, you either have to have good grades, money or the location. It is one of the best summer camps in the USA and is known for its crazy activities, fires, rafting, rowing etc. It is also popular for its traditional Battle of the Bands tournaments along with Battles of the Lodges. The lodges within Cedar Creek are Pine, Maple, Oak, Birch, Redwood & Cedar. Every teenager to be accepted into CCSC is put into a lodge with around twenty four other people; all of whom which they attend activities with; sleep in the same lodge with etc.
There are of course, counsellors of the summer camp, and most of them are in their young 20's, which seems to cause a lot more hassle than first expected. Students usually come back every year, more stories to tell; friendships break and blossom; relationships are torn apart only to be reunited. Cheerleaders and jocks are a very common site at Cedar Creek, as cheerleading and football rivarly is huge with other summer camps in the USA. Trips to outside matches and competitions are common. But of course, you always have the geeks, rockers, stoners who are forced into an environment which they would normally choose suicide over.
So, a year has passed since last summer. Things have changed; people have changed, evolved. Its a summer just waiting for disaster. Along with all this speculation about a murderer being on the loose.
This isn't highschool. Yet it seems so familiar. Cliques? Secrets? Lies? Katie Bayton and her infamous boat parties, Jess Richardson and her dead sister. and you can't forget Kayleigh Ashford and that child of hers. Its all happening at Cedar Creek. Its just the
secrets in the telling.
