"Aw, you kiddin' me?" Eli mumbled, watching as the taxi drove off without him. Not exactly his usual lucky self, not while he's shoved into a rainy Seattle without a ride in sight...This wasn't Eli's style at all.
The southern man fished out his cellphone and dialed, placing the device against his ear as he scanned the dreary street in silent thought.

"Yeah?" a voice answered.
"Hey. It's Eli. Try'na reach the place, but I didn't plan on walkin'," Elijah said with a smirk, leaning against a light post and watching traffic go by.

"Black...I'll see what I can do. Nothing fancy. "

"Nothin' fancy?...All I wanted was a street bike, Johns.."

"A taxi."
"A taxi?"
"You're getting a taxi...should be there in one minute," Johns replied without emotion.

"Well, beggars can't be choosers. Seeya around..." Eli ended, snapping the phone shut. He lit a cigarette, allowing a smoky exhale of a sigh to release from his lips.
"Goddamnit..." he muttered, tossing the smoke on the ground as a shiny yellow taxi pulled up before him. They were effective. Almost as effective as him. Difference was, Eli always allowed himself to finish a fuckin' cigarette. No courtesy these days...

Black stepped into the taxi and rubbed his chin, glancing out the rain spotted window.

"Where to?" The cabby asked.
"Nearest Applebees...I'm starvin'," Eli said, absentmindedly placing a hand on his concealed pistol.

The taxi pulled out and carried him towards his pickup. It was the beginning of a good time. It'd been a while since Eli could afford a beach house.
