Perhaps the most impatient place in the hospital. While people wait for news of their loved ones, the doctors, attending, residents or interns avoid the place at all costs when they have bad news. Or at least they try as long as they can.
The patients rooms are there for the patients emitted in the hospital.

Keeping the S.T.A.R.S. recruits safe is number one priority since they're dropping off like flies. It's an underground building where most of them stay when in training. Food is supplied for those who don't want to go out, but there are a couple of recruits that have to go get a fresh truckload of food every other month or so.

A couple of buildings on top of the hive. Lower personnel of Umbrella work here, and have no idea what lies beneath the buildings. To enter the hive, people must enter through the south end building.

(Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service)
The Countermeasure Service do all in-office work here. There are training rooms, weaponry rooms, and meeting rooms. This only takes one level of the hive. Not everyone that works here has full clearance throughout the building. And several members of UBCS don't know what the Hive holds on the lower levels.

level one - three laboratories
These laboratories take over three floors. They are used for anything dealing with UBCS research or research for any of the non-top secret uses of Umbrella. Not many have clearance to these leaves, but nothing 'dangerous' is being done here.

level four - six laboratories
The lowest three levels of the Hive were specifically made for chemical research. Level four is where the anti-virus for all the strains are being made and updated. Level five is were the t-virus is being handled, along with other strains. And level six is where the new research for Umbrella is being housed. Using the strains of the T-virus and others on the paranormal that Umbrella has just become aware of.

The old headquarters of Umbrella are located in London. The headquarters are now split between two locations: Seattle and Japan. The hive located in London is basically for non-dangerous ventures Umbrella takes part of. Anything not related to the T-virus, or the paranormal is done at this hive.

The third and smallest of all the hives is located in Panama. The hive only has three levels, each dedicated to cures of the current viruses that Umbrella has invested in. No testing is done on the paranormal here. The hive is close to the Panama Canal. Only two other hives have the coordinates to where this hive is located: The Japan and Seattle Hive.

The final, seventh hive is found in the big country of Russia. It's hard to find, and only Japan and Seattle have the locations in their database. Some heavy duty research is happening here with the paranormal. The virus will be sent to the hive once Russia finds new paranormal beings to test it on. This hive's sole purpose is to locate and define the paranormal. Many paranormal beings (vampires, were-wolves) are in-poisoned here.
