I make my own ren garb and other things like chainmail. Im a decent enough tailor to do the job. and yes.. way too much. try playing tibia, it's got bad graphics but much better game play and community, it's free, and im there(world Nova)

Full body armour is stupid.
It clanks too loud and will attract zombies far and wide. Also it will be extremely uncomfortable and heavy so you won't get very far before you are out of breath.

I have to admit the chance of getting bitten will be reduced greatly (but still not impossible) but the cons by far outweigh the pros.
The best protection that can be offered is tight clothes and short hair!

You have to remember, that is the zombie survival guide. If you want to escape zombies, stealth is the best option. Of course not letting them get close at all is the best option, but is not always an option.

Lets not forget leather would be next to impossible to bite through as well as alot of motorcycle gear has metal plates throughout the clothing to protect riders flesh from being torn away when crashing and skidding on roadway.

You need something light but durable... something like all over body kevlar or some sort of shark suit.
