You want to see new zombie movies or just any zombie movies?

We've had an 'original night of the living dead' quick review on Zombies?... you can download the whole movie from www.archive.org (it's public now! yay!), if you've got broadband.

My review-person is running pretty darn late with the original day of the dead review. We'll probably have to watch it again, its been too long.

What have you already seen? Maybe I've seen cool ones you havent caught...

well years ago i was trying to come up with a cool name on aol. GerryC198041e just wasn't doing it for me. SO i tried to come up with a really cool name like blackwolf or redblood or whatever, well if you don't know on Aol all the names are already taken, so i decided to do the thing were you type in your hobbies and it comes up with a name for you. Eventually i got bored.....................and lazy so i typed in Lazy and bored and Ta-Da! borednlazy which i decided bordnlazy look better. I looked around the net and found that nobody Else had bordnlazy which is always good when your picking out a name. I kept the name just cause i know that Nobody in their right Mind will ever choose a name like that. Its nice to have the same name everywhere. how did you get your name dude?

I just Saw Night of the Living Dead. All i can really say Is WOW! Just considering it was made it 1968 it had bits and pieces story telling that were years ahead of it's time. THe movie is about a couple of people trapped in the house during a zombie epidemic cause my radiation in space. Now aside from the fact that all the women in the movie were Freaken useless, it is actually a good watch. There are alot of times when the movie is really realistic and plausible. and Trust me that's important when i watch a movie. I hate to see people doing really stupid things just to further a plot. Not unless i hate the character, then sure go ahead go investigate that noise :P . Considering this movie was the actual Birth of the modern Zombie Genre it is a worth While watch. I would go over my favorite parts of the movie but i dont to spoil it for anybody else.
Watch it! download for Free at the link provided below and play it with your QuickTime Players. ANd dONt ForGEt ..........................."There COming For YOu BarbARA!"

Well, I seem to be in the shallow end of the gene pool when it comes to creativity. My old name was Chandler Bing, but that was taken on so many things, and like you said, having the same name everywhere is kind of important. So, I was looking for some (not-so) famous names I could adopt. In the Zombie survival guide, a zombie hunter is mentioned in the 'Recorded Attacks' section, who was called: Elija Black. So the story goes, his grandfather knew about zombies, and taught Elija the basics (aim for the head kinda thing). Sadly, his grandfather was attacked by zombies, and got infected. Elija, having had to kill his own (albeit zombified) grandfather, is thought to have dedicated his life to zombie hunting.

When I started doing some research into some of the many bits and bobs in the zombie survival guide, I found ATS, and a thread entitled "Zombie hunters guild", which is how we started. Since I was joining ATS for this particular thread, I decided that Elija Black was good. It is now my name for everything I am signed up for.

Ok well I'm going to post my review on Shaun of the Dead.

It was freaking hilarious. It's British humor so if you can understand it, it's down right hilarious, however the trick is can you understand it?

Anyhow it's pretty funny, which is the main reason to see it. It's a nice break from the seriousness from movies like Dawn of the Dead. The other reason to see it is that it's one of the most realistic zombie thrillers I've ever seen. Seriously, it perfectly simulates what a zombie outbreak might be like. The idea of headshots and the bites and the virus thing were well put together. Plus the effects on this movie were awesome.

So many people figure, it's a comedy so it will be unrealistic. However this movie effects that rival the remake of Dawn of the Dead. So yeah, British humor at it's finest + a realistic series of events + awesome effects = 9/10. Yep, it was so good I gave it a nine out of ten. The only things holding this movie back is that it's only 1hr and 40 min long, so it flys by way too fast. That and the DVD is a good $30, it's worth it, but couldn't they make it more like $20? Still an awesome movie that is a must see, zombie fan or not.

Yeah, one of the first things I noticed when I saw it was that it was realistic. Except maybe the lack of healing, especialy in this day and age. By that, I mean that if that were to happen, most people, i.e. the government, would think it could be cured, so spend time looking for a cure instead of dipatching headshot trained personnel.
