A Place UnexploredLocated at the former settlement of Mittilagart, the Palace is a wondrous structure that was used in the days past by the Caesars. Before the move to Austrium, the Caesars had confined themselves at Mittilagart, to remove themselves from the baser influences of the Elven tribes they ruled over. Compared to the Orvani Pdalza that survived the collapse of monarchy in Eden, the Palace at Mittilagart was gutted and destroyed, for the Caesars sought refuge there in a futile attempt to maintain their crown, before fleeing north to Serdio. Unlike the structure at Austrium that mimics the styles of the Kenjikans who settled Eden, the Palace of Mittilagart is much nativist, a grand palace which mimic’s the style of the Elvish warlords which the Caesars ruled over in days past. Compared to the restored glory in Austrium, Mittilagart is a pitiful mess, abandoned to the jungles whose overgrowth has largely returned the palace to nature.
The remains of the palace are few, with large portions of the brick having been blasted away. Broken glass, tiles, and other debris litter the whole palace, with the overgrowth that has surrounded the palace having grown inside. The whole interior is almost like a garden, as even trees have begun to grow inside the palace, branching out through the portions of the missing roof. Although it is a beautiful mess, it does not hide the terrible things that occurred upon the destruction of the palace. Bones of former bodies can be found in every part of the palace, faded crimson that was once blood coating the walls, weapons and treasures strewn each and everyway. Mittilagart is in that aspect a treasure trove, with many fine things left abandoned by the former dynasty in this bleak place. It is a perfect place to explore and uncover, despite the many dangers that might be found. The Vasse dynasty jealously guarded their privacy when they once resided at Mittilagart; it is no surprise that a variety of traps, from spikes flinging out the falls, to poisonous arrows, exist in this place. One wrong step, and would could certainly end up on the wrong side.
Although the mist is very light in Eden owing to its tropical climate, it is somewhat dense within Mittilagart, clinging to the trees and plants within the palace. Because of the horrible things that occurred surrounding the fall of the palace, it is no surprise that the mist lurks in this abandoned palace, spawning monsters, but also contributing to the rumors that the place is haunted. It is unsure whether the Palace actually is haunted, but there are many chilling tales of hearing screams and blood curling moans emanating from the walls, and stories of adventurers seeing ghosts and other otherworldly things rushing at them as they attempted to enter the place. It is no surprise that Mittilagart is a breeding ground for monsters and other beasts, making its various treasures very difficult prizes to grasp.
