OoC: This takes place early winter instead of spring, because this was the scouting mission. IC: The sun did not beat down as harshly as it surely did in summer. The earth was tilted so it was much colder, but snow would not fall on this part of the land and the sandy ground felt pleasantly warm... NO doubt, however, that at night it would be better to curl up underneath the sand in a den for warmth as it would freeze above ground. Ryden Tam walked gingerly on the warm sands, the heat comforting his paws. He and his mate, Kelai, had been travelling to look for new lands that would be suitable for the pack they had lived in to move to because the prey had either died off or moved on and the stores of meat they had piled were running low. They weren't sent, but they came of their own will. The black wolf had preferred it that Kelai would stay home and watch their three pups which were just born, but she insisted on coming with him, assuring him that Rizurii, the Alphess, would watch over the pups. The other females in the pack had gone through pseudo-pregnancy and were producing milk. The thing that really bothered him was that Rizurii did not know where or why they had gone and he was the only sage in the pack in case anyone was injured or ill. "Kelai!" he called behind him to summon his love to his side... These deserts seemed fine so far. He put his nose close to the earth and smelled naught but the earth and non-wolf fauna. This land was unclaimed. "We know that no one lives here, but is it alright for the Glarians? I don't see water, but I can smell it faintly in the distance... What do you think?" ooc; sry for the wait. waits suck. Light imprints were left on the tawny sands as Kelai stepped through. SHe thought sand was an odd surface; she had never been in this kind of sand before, noly the rough sands. This sand was smooth, with very thin grains. She liked the feel however; though it was odd, for a wolf her age she was quite amazed by it. Kelai heard Ryden's voice and immediately traipsed up to him. That made her think about her babies back home; Leilani, the stubborn little girl, hopefully wasn't causing much trouble. Her brothers, Faolan and Terran, could be counted on to be much better behaved. Kelai lifted her long tapering muzzle in the air. Yes, she can smell water. "I think its a good place" she told Ry. OoC: Tis okie... The thread on WW still needs to be finished. Do you know where Grey or Silk are? IC: A soft sigh exited from the lengthy muzzle of the black sage. He looked around, emerald eyes picking up the scene around him. It seemed to be endless white sand... Yet, the smell of water was still present, however faintly... He knew it was going to be Glarian, even if not in the same name any longer... "So, is the place?" Ryden Tam began, "Do we go back and tell Miss Rizurii about this as a suitble new home?" He knew they could have just brought their pups and taken it as their own, but they wanted to keep their old pack and just wanted a better place for the group of wolves to live in happiness. Little did the black sage know that humans, they very humans who harmed his sister, had left marks on the nearby lands for wanderers... Turning to his love, he asked, "Now what?"
