Sammael sat at the ground and watched the flying people, most of them second or third years that were trying to get a good enough grip of flying to dare to show up at the quidditch auditions of their houses. Quidditch was a sport that had never really interested Sammael, the parts of it on their own he found highly fascinating, especially the seekers and their brooms, both had to be exceptional to be able to catch the snitch. However he found the system entirely too unbalanced for his taste as all it took was one genius seeker and then the game was decided before the teams stepped out on the pitch. No, for Sammael quidditch was not the reason he trained his flying, indeed the custom made broom he had lying next to him was not as good as the ordinary firebolt in a quidditch match, it was simply too powerful to do handle the kind of abuse it got when a bludger hit. Instead it was built for racing, superb speed and very precise handling which required only small changes in weight placement made it a truly amazing item.
Look at all the flies, you could almost think that almost none of them have ever flown before. Maybe somebody should show them how to actually get the true speed of their brooms without falling off.
As Sammael thought this he saw a kid try and fail to make turn at high speed. The kid managed to avoid the pole that had been in the way but his broom hit it and the kid was thrown off. Without a seconds hesitation Sammael brought out his wand and snarled "Arresto momentum" as he slashed sharply with his wand toward the falling kid. The kid's fall stopped immediately and Sammael carefully lowered him to the ground before tucking away his wand again.

Rixen honestly didn't know why she was in a Quidditch Pitch when she had a fear of heights. Still, it wasn't as bad as her claustrophobia or phobia of clowns. She could just about bare flying...if you call holding on tightly to the person closest to her while hiding. Yeah, she was great with heights. Not. Although, Rixie did need something to do. Hm, either fly, or make conversation. Easy, I'll take choice three, run away and hide. She was about to do said choice when she noticed somebody about to fall off their broom, and she automatically reached for her wand. However, some guy in the stands beat her to it. Rixie smirked. He seemed interesting. However, this brought on a whole new train if thought. She did often wonder why she was a Slytherin. Probably her being so sly all the time. She was a great prankster too. Yet, she was friendly and a huge conversationalist. Probably my family traits shining through.
The young Phantomhive almost skipped over to the interesting nobody. I mist be spending too much time with Alison. Rixie thought, referring to her happy-go-lucky housemate back in her 'holiday house' as she called it. Hogwarts was more of a home to her then that dump ever was. Still, the fourth year sat herself next to Unknown #1 and smiled at him. "Hiya! That was a really cool thing for you to do! Beat me right to it." Rixen smiled. "I'm Rixen, what's your name? And before you ask, no I'm no Hufflepuff, I'm just really friendly." She babbled when she was happy and excited. Inwardly, her other half felt pity for the boy she used as her victim.

Sammael calmly studied the girl that had hurried over to him and smiled a bit. "Well it would have been a bit messy if he hit the ground, I do not know what the teachers are thinking about, letting these people up in the air without anybody at all to watch over them. Well, frankly, who can understand the mind of a teacher here, who knows they might be betting on how many broken bones they get each term. My name is Sammael Angelus, sixth year gryffindor, transfer student though." Sammael said.
Interesting one. Though she seems a bit nervous. Oh well, might as well just ask why.
"You seem a bit nervous, is anything wrong?" Sammael asked in a friendly tone.

Rixen nodded in vast agreement. "Very messy indeed." She couldn't help but picture herself on that broom, and what would have happened if nobody was there to help her. She shuddered. "Nasty." She whispered under her breath. No, her fear of heights was strong. She could walk up stairs, yeah. Take airplane holidays, sure. When she felt secure, she was fine. But on a broomstick, no. No way, nuh uh not going to happen. You had wishful thinking if you thought that Rixen Phantomhive would get on a broomstick. You'd be lucky! She didn't know what bought on this sudden fear, of course, she couldn't remember! Honestly, amnesia is a real pain.
Rixie sighed. "Teachers are weird sometimes. I mean, we are allowed to do somethings, somedays, and then the next day we can't. It seems awfully strange." She hummed, and drew her legs closer to her body. She wished she could remember why she hated heights. Heck, she couldn't remember if she did like heights or not! She only had Alois' word to go by, and he was proving to be a pain too. "I'm fourth year, Slytherin." Rixen stretched her arms flexed her hands. "I'm nervous? I didn't realize. I hate heights, see, don't know why though." She yawned. "Nope, just tired."

Sammael looked toward the flying people as he heard a loud noise but it seemed like it was merely two third-years who were having fun chasing eachother. As Rixen commented on the teacher's weirdness Sammael could not help but smile, though it was not a purely amused smile, it was quite a mocking smile in fact.
If she thinks changing rules is weird she should see how it is in some other schools, where the rules are not set in stone or where your duelling prowess decides right or wrong.
As Rixen said that she hated heights Sammael could not resist turning his head to look at her and raise one eyebrow slightly before speaking. "Why are you here if you hate heights? Did you come here to meet somebody or something? Or might it be that you wish to try and get rid of your fear by flying? If so I can help you and fly next to you so you do not fall. It would be unfortunate if one of the first people outside my house that I manage to have some manner of conversation with gets hurt when I could have prevented it." Sammael said clearly but a bit quietly, so as not to reveal it to anybody who happened to be close.
