What if WITCH was a movie?, What would you change in the script?

well i don't know if this has been discussed before but...if WITCH was a movie,which well-known actor/actress do you think should play the roles of:will,irma,cornelia,hay lin,taranee,elyon,orube,matt,peter,caleb ect...would you change something to the plot of the movie?(the only think i would change is that Cornelia wouldn't break up with Caleb and Cedric wouldn't die but end up with Orube...but,on the other hand we would need some drama on the movie..i don't know )

These days, I personally think it is a bad idea to try and adapt this comic series into a live-action motion picture, which is ironic coming from me. If you really want to make it a successful blockbuster, you are going to have to make it serious because some things are okay to keep only in the comic and not okay on the big screen.

I agree with Gali, a live-action motion picture would likely be a real flop. Even if done in complete realistic CGI (like Avatar), the funds required for the production work vs. the small niche culture that'd be willing to watch it would likely be so off balance that the production company would be at a net loss in the long run.

Then you've also got the divide to consider: comic vs. cartoon. If the production company favors one they'll likely alienate the other.

And last you've got to consider is the movie trend in the country that'll make this movie. Most likely that'd be the USA, and last I checked the fantasy/magic girl trend was not even on life support.

Give me some time to think about it! And I don't really know much about actors so... But I agree with Gali here. I think an anime adaption would be better, because they tend to stay true to the style and feeling of the manga/comic. Unlike the cartoon

I'm not sure whether WITCH - the film would be received well, but I think that as a film the story would look more seriously because as a comic some people think that it's more for children. In the series "The Secret Circle" also the main characters possess elements. But I do not know whether the film WITCH would with actors would worn the same emotion as the comic.

I never said that i would like to make or see this movie i just asked IF WITCH was a movie which actor/actress you would choose to play each character-there is a difference right?

I know what you're trying to say, but I rather not bother to consider which actors and actresses to play the part since the whole for a film (whether its us or a film production studio would be the one to make it) would most likely be a flop. And even if I did, I wouldn't hire the already well-known actors and actresses who are already in the business to begin with since that would cost a lot of money. Go for the unknown and undiscovered talents.

About the cast. Amanda Bynes would be an excellent role for Irma.

I heard M. Night Shyamalan wants to direct a WITCH movie!

After what that guy did to Avatar- no way is he doing witch I didn't think he was even doing Avatar movie 2 because of how bad 1 was.

And last time I heard that Steven Spielberg was making this series into a live action. He never did or will!

I can't see Spielberg even looking at this as a potential. George Lucas, maybe, on the other hand, but I don't think he's that desperate for another flop.

I'm not really sure about a live-action movie but an animated movie would be awesome Though it seems veeery unlikely... *sigh* I just want something new and W.I.T.C.H-related (aside from the comics, of course).

Well if it was a movie version. I would parodied the Archery scene from Robin Hood. Take for example

Uriah, Kurt, Laurent, the Grumpers Sisters and Irma are having a brawl in the tent. Then Cornelia taking her hair pin poking one of them on the but and they all run. Irma's head pops up and said "Hey when did they come up with the tent ride".
