well, as I said in another thread, don't worry too much. let's get the new comics and books out first! I havent even checked the books for errors...

yeah, true. I'm pretty sure that book 4 and Taranee's Adventure book are okay, but I definitely need to work on book #1 and 2, those other comics, and who knows about the books that SpiritGoddess scanned. Chances are, I'll have to rescan them But yeah, you're right. I'll start trying to scan Book #5 sometime next week and then work on correcting things since I don't have book #6 anymore...

why add @#$%^& words in the comics... why not take them out?

Why would we take them out?

what if a little kid reads them: " hey Mom, I was reading An inocent W.I.T.C.H. comic on the computer, and this was the best word in it @#&*!"

Again, why would we? Neither me or Mooncloud do live in the US or do care about the ridiculous anti-cursing crusade there.

I don't care either way if anything I'm against it also it's just to troublesome to deal with I think.

Well, since it's pretty obvious that Spiritgoddess won't come back anytime soon, I think that somebody who isn't currently scanning any issues should rescan issues #31-36 and 42-44. I'm getting $25 soon so I could possibly buy 3 of those issues from ebay, but we need to work out what we're going to do with those missing issues

yeah I know. I'm just working on the new unofficial witch website and it makes me sad that I can't put links to those issues and that people who just now start to read can't read some of them...I wonder why she made them all private.

Tired of people stealing and taking advantage of her work? I dont know. Anyway - the zips are still on diebyswords site, right?

yeah, but not everybody likes to download zips, so it's good to have an easy route to read the comics online

I could put those online for viewing if that's okay with everyone here.

Also, if it's okay, I'd like to fix some of the grammar in the first issue. The start of it is fairly akward, and it would be nice to give people a good impression of W.i.t.c.h. if they are just starting to read it.

(Edit: I don't have the issues to re-scan - I'd just use what we already have as a source and give credit to the original scanner. But I don't want to do this unless it would be considered acceptable here. I know that scanners don't generally like other people re-puiblishing their work.)

The whole purpose of this thread is that the issues mentioned actually DO need to be re-scanned because of bad scanning quality or such.
So it would be pretty useless to use the material we've already got.
The viewing is not the problem here.

I was just talking about 31-36 (in response to Witchlover) and the others that are only available at DieBySword's download site now.

It would be nice to at least have the current versions readable online, and it wouldn't take much time to put them up. I'd be happy to do it .

But if you wouldn't like me to, then I won't, of course.

OK, so you were talking about SpiritGodess's scans!
I see now, well - I can't stop you, but I don't like the idea of having someone else's scans on your site. As you say - we scanners don't like that.
Also I know that SpiritGoddess was extra sensitive against these stuff, I bet she wish she'd put tags on them. Maybe we could put tags on them for her?
But ALL of issues 31-36 are mentioned in the top priority list too for other reasons, so - we will still probably redo them sooner or later anyway.

yes, but since SpiritGoddess has taken her scans away from the public, we have no choice but to get someone to rescan them. Either someone who has the issues can do it (and couldn't we use the issue on diebysword's server to reupload the issues online?) or someone would need to buy them or something. I've gotten a bunch of emails saying that the scans aren't working, as if I haven't already known for many weeks...

I know what you mean witchlover, and I agree - but to take spiritgoddess scans and publish them on a new site wouldnt exactly help. it would be better to make new scans, as you are saying. that is what I meant in my latest post.
