Today the Netherlands has a new king: King Willem Alexander. His wife, princess Maxima, became queen. It's the first time since 1849 that we have a king, since we had four generations of queens.

ToED: I used to have this thought that one day, it'd all stop, and I'd be alright. I've since given up on that. I'm not even hoping for happiness or anything like that - I just don't wanna feel like s**** all time anymore.

It doesn't matter if someone unfollows my blog because of who I am.
If I wasn't me the blog wouldn't be mine.
If you can't accept who I am it's better that you don't follow my blog.

totd: First my grandfather died, and now I think I might lose my only maternal aunt. My dad called my uncles in Australia and they said that my aunt isn't doing well. The doctors said that she only has a 5% chance of survival...I might never see her again...*sniff*

I'm so, so sorry to hear that. I hope you and your family are okay; my condolences

totd:freshman year is over

Wow, it's the end of the school year already where you live? Here it ends at the end of June.

Here it ends even later, near the end of July!

my college gets out really early

We got a cat! Friends of us who already got two rabbits got two cats last week, but now they realised that their apartment is too small. So they asked if we wanted to have a cat. We were planning to get one after summer anyway, so... Why not now!?

totd: My aunt is currently in the ICU. I fear the worst...I absolutely hate my life.

TotD: My hypothesis seems to be plausible: be positive, talkative, engaging. Seek to have fun, no matter where you are or who you're with, and you'll be able to hang out with your worst enemy and enjoy it. Two tricks to this: do not give anything about yourself away - answer briefly if asked, but do not hand out personal anecdotes. Second trick: do not, under any circumstance, give a frak about the people around you. Make like Seth Gecko: "You can all live forever, or you can all die right now, I don't give a s*** which."

Oh, and, btw, gali: The thing about situations like these is you never know what the final score will be. You say 5% - but in my experience, 5% and 95% are the same, because a situation with two possible outcomes always, ALWAYS has a 50/50 division of probability. The statistical chance of success and failure seemingly divides unevenly (in this case, 95/5) but in practice, the odds are always divided evenly.

My heart is with you Gali. Sometimes we just have to accept things that suck. I don't believe in God, but if he exists, he is an asshole. Taking away people for no reason, who do not deserve it. There is no justice, just people who try to make the best out of situations we can't control. And in the end there is only one thing we can do. We have to accept it. How unjust it may be. Because if we don't, we are the ones that suffer. I'm not saying you don't have the right to be sad or mad about it, because you do. You don't deserve this. Your aunt doesn't deserve this, whether she lives or dies. It's no-one's fault and no-ones responsibility. It's just how life is. Having no-one or nothing to blame can sometimes even be harder to accept, but it can also give peace.

Sorry if what I wrote doesn't 100% apply to you. But seeing you being angry about your grandfather and aunt being taken away reminded me of the time that my dad almost died of a cardiac arrest 2 years ago, while he was living his whole life healthy. It made me so angry, but in the end I only could accept what happened and that we cannot control life, no matter how hard we try and how good we live.

Totd: I HAVE GRADUATED! After four years of hard work, I have finished college with a 4.0 GPA through the School of Honors. I now have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education 4-8 English, Language Arts, Reading. I am so excited and actually proud of myself. I can't wait to start teaching. Now I just need to get a job.

Hope I'm as lucky. If I can clear these next three weeks without killing myself, I hope to do that too.

totD: So, I'm smoking again. Why the hell not, everything else has gone to s***.

I've graduated last year but it's still going to be a long time for me to find a full time teaching job myself.

totd: My aunt is still in the ICU and I'm still worried sick about her chances of survival all week.

2nd totd: I hate Mother's Day...well, I don't hate the holiday, I just hate the timing of it because it always reminded me of my grandfather's death two years ago. My grandmother still missed him and cried yesterday when her children and grandchildren threw her a yearly Mother's Day party.

I feel your pain, Galistar. My uncle died last week from cancer. Its the first death in my immediate family I ever experienced. It has been a very dark eye opener for me, with the depressing thoughts and such.

I'm really sorry for your loss, blue. The death of my only remaining grandfather two years ago struck everyone in my family and it made me feel hallow. I didn't even bothered to study for a final exam and I failed the class because of his funeral. *sigh*

totd: there is nothing like sitting in your house playing hours of skyrim on a cloudy day

Revelations of the day: 1- Life is easier for me when I trust Chaos' design and go with the flow.
2- I can dance, not exceptionally, but acceptably, if I want to.
3- I am satisfied so much more than I used to with my social engagements, and that's because I'm hanging out people that are older than me (like, 32 to my 26)
4- I can meet people and strike up conversations easily and people tend to remember me.
5- Self-confidence is knowing nobody's watching you.
6- I still get along with girls/women better/more easily than I do with their husbands.
7- I was the only guy allowed on the floor when the bride was about to throw the bouquet, and I failed to catch it. Twist? All the other guys were led off the floor. They think I'm gay.
8- When slow dancing, I can take the lead. And it feels good.
9- I look good and feel comfortable in a suit.
10- I think I'm starting to get a feel for the "supposed to be"s.
11- That awkward two minute interval where my right hand won't stop shaking is in full swing.
12- All it takes, it all it takes is saying "No inhibitions." All it takes, all it ever takes is reminding myself that nobody's watching me. Nobody's watching me at all.

wow, true. but still, in a way, to not be afraid to be watched.
