Personal Details

Family: All of Steve's family is alive. His mother and father (James and Lisa Burnside.), his sister (Alicia Burnside), and his baby brother (Raymond Burnside.) His family lives in New York City, where he was raised and because of that, each member in his family is a hard ass, stubborn type of person. Every year during Christmas and Thanksgiving, they get together to spend family time. Last Christmas however, things got out of hand between Steve and his father due to them drinking excessively and getting into a fight. Steve hasn't spoken to his father since that Christmas.
Relationship with Family: All in all, Steve gets along well with his sister, mother, and brother. It's his father in where the problems lies. They just don't get along, even if last Christmas had never happened. Steve and his father only get along when they are not together to see each other. Other than that, this is the basis of the family relationships Leon has.

Sexuality: Straight
Marital Status: Single, but looking.

Race: Human
Virus: N/A

Your Character's Job: Steve works for the top secret organization of S.I.T.F.A. (Special International Task-Force Agency.) It's a secret organization that dispatches agents to specific parts of the world where unusual activity takes place. This organization is also a sub division of the CIA in a sense. They work together with CIA and DEA in some instances. His job is to secure what's left of Umbrella. He also has a personal Vendetta agasint the corporation because of the types of corruption they bring to the plate at the stake of this city.

Clothing: Normally Steve wears a white shirt, with some black jeans on and some sneakers. He will sometimes wear his earrings but mostly doesn't. He also wears a chain around his neck that is pure silver.
Battle Clothing: His battle clothing differs majorly from his normal clothing. Number one, he wears a blue jacket with gun holster attachments over a black shirt. Underneath his shirt, Steve wears a pair of S.I.T.F.A body armor. On his legs are a part of camo pants that have been slightly modified. There are two gun holsters on both legs so he can carry a sub-machine gun and hangun. The handgun holster is up on the hip, while the sub-machine gun holster is on the thigh. On his feet are a pair of black boots issued by S.I.T.F.A that are extremely durable. Also on Leon's shoulders going to the opposite hips are a ammo holder. It can carry up to 5 clips on each line. He usually will only carry this when wearing his jacket, just because it makes him look cooler.

Personality Details

Personality: Steve is very confident in his skills and this often gets him into bad situations. He comes off as a cool, calm, and collected guy who never folds under pressure. This is all alluring to the fact that Steve is nervous most of the time, but has learned to hide his feelings and expressions when under pressure so as to convince himself the situation is not as dire as it seems.

He can be a bit brash and an asshole at times. Mostly when it comes down to him being told something about something he knows much about. When it comes to the Zombies and the events in Racoon City he experienced, that was something he would not tolerate from anyone who hasn't been there before especially. He can be smooth at times with his silver tongue and quick witted mind, but this also can be a downfall as he tends to rely too much on his good looks and charm to win him out of bad situations.

Likes: He likes weapons I suppose you could say. Anything that could potientially hurt or kill someone, he likes it. Cars are a big thing for him as well, the faster the better. Women are a must, just like video games. He also enjoys listening to rap and rock music, it's the only kind that helps him deal with how he's feeling at the moment.
Hobbies: He likes to read novels and books by great writers. Tom Clancy, Stephen Coonts, Stephen King, W.B. Griffin. He loves those guys mostly. He also likes going to the Gun Range to test his shooting abilities on a frequent basis whenever he can. Also likes to work on any car he can get his hands on.
Bad Habits: Tends to smoke when nervous, and frequently looks around when he's scared as well. He also has a bad habit of reloading his gun too often, therefore wasting ammo.
Dislikes: Selfish People.....that's about it really. He has his pet peeves like most people, but this is his one true dislike.
Fears: Afraid of "complete" darkness. The kind where you can't see in front of you after your eyes focus. Is also afraid of being infected by the virus and becoming a mindless zombie. Also is afriad of failing. This is his biggest fear because he sees failure as a sign of weakness and that in turns becomes something worse. Steve oftens ties failure with the effects of being infected and turned into a zombie with no soul. Minor fears include: Spiders, big animals (Wovles, bears, tigers, etc.), also is afriad of the dark somewhat due to tramatization by his brother as a kid when the lights went out.

Strengths: Is very accurate with his guns and his combat skills, has good lockpicking skills and is a smooth talker.
Weakness/Flaw: Though he is very accurate with his guns, he is also too impatient and often misses in gun fights where cool headedness is an essential factor. Also is over confident in his close combat skills and therefore takes a severe beating before getting serious.

Other Details

Fighting Tech: Steve is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Doe and is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Judo. He tends to rely on his Tae Kwon Doe skills being that they are based on quickness and hitting the opponent before they can react. He will rely on his Judo skills when in extra close combat against an enemy who just won't go down. However, due to his over confidence, he will often find himself relying on a mix of both fighting styles to get the job done.

Weapons: The only weapons Steve carries are a survival knife in his left knife holder on his beltline, 2 9mm handguns in the hip gun holsters, and he also carries an uzi on the right thigh gun holster. Mostly, Leon will not use the uzi because of the fact he prefers handguns to automatics but it never hurts to have an automatic.

Background Details

History:

Rockfort Island Incident:

Steve is the son of a former Umbrella employee, John who attempted to steal from his company. Because of his father's actions, Steve's mother ended up being killed by Umbrella's forces and Steve himself was imprisoned on Rockfort Island, along with his father. As a result of this experience, Steve learned not to trust anyone, not even his closest relatives.

Claire Redfield meets Steve. When Albert Wesker's forces attacked the island, Steve took advantage of the ensuing confusion and escaped from his captivity and met with Claire Redfield, who was recently imprisoned on the island herself. At first, Steve was reluctant to cooperate with Claire, leaving Claire to fend for herself. But after a close encounter with one of the facility's traps and the fact that he and Claire were the only non-infected individuals on the island, Steve had no choice but to trust Claire. During their exploration of the facility, Steve met with his father, now transformed into a zombie as a result of the viral outbreak. Steve was forced to kill his father in order to save Claire.

Steve began to open up to Claire more, becoming more affectionate towards her and also started to recover his trusting nature. The two were hunted by the facility's manager, Alfred Ashford, as they made their escape from the island. Although Steve managed to find a sea plane on the island's airport, the plane's navigational system was programmed to arrive at Umbrella's Antarctic Facility. The plane crashed into the facility, since it had no landing gear. Claire and Steve confronted Alfred within the Antarctic Facility and Steve managed to fatally wound Alfred during a shoot-out. When it seemed like the two were free from Alfred's clutches, they were once again taken captive by Alexia Ashford, who was awakened from cryogenic sleep.

The two were held within a replica of the Spencer Mansion hidden within the base. Steve was injected with an advanced form of the T-Veronica virus by Alexia that was harvested from her body. Claire managed to free herself with her brother's help and tried to release the captive Steve. However, Steve transformed into a rampaging monster and went after Claire. Unable to control himself at first, Steve eventually recognized Claire and regained his conscience. He was unable to survive the mutation and transformed back into a human. Before his apparent death, Steve declared his love for Claire.

Despite his apparent death, Steve's body was recovered by Albert Wesker in order to extract the T-Veronica virus from within his body and has even hinted that he has the technology to restore him to life. Steve now has no memory of what has happened and finds it strange he knows much about something he doesn't understand. He doesn't remember any of his training, or how he became such a martial artist. Nor does he remember Claire at all. He barely remembers who he is, how is he supposed to remember someone else? The only REAL thing Steve remembers is that he worked for someone. He figures that since he has such training and skills, that he needs to go ahead and make something of himself. And that's to join S.T.A.R.S.

Extra Details

Role play Sample:

Steve walked up the dusty steps of the old mansion, checking his handguns as he went. He pulled the left gun out of it's holster and stepped to the front door, putting his back to it. He raised the gun up near his head and then kicked the door open before rolling into the room, uncurling next to a old desk that was near the door. Leon got up on one knee and held the gun placed on the desk into the middle of the room. "SITFA! Special Agent Steve Burnside!! Come out with your hands where I can see them!" Steve bellowed into the open room.

He waited a few minutes, searching for any kinda movement just for a reason to pop a cap in someone's ass. Steve was not a violent man but indeed was a harsh man. He quickly moved from behind the desk and walked towards a side room on the far eastern wall of the mansion. He was looking for a renegade robber who ran into this place after bashing Steve in the head on the way of the bank just 3 minutes ago. That pissed him off. As Steve opened the door with his gun raised, a foot moved slightly to his left and kicked the gun out of his hands.

Steve's reaction was one that was shocked as he turned to the left and then saw a punch cloud his vision. Pain racked his body as it shot through his left eye and completely knocked him off balance. The robber then landed a solid punch to Leon's gut and then uppercutted him into the air. He landed hard on a old chair and fell through it, peices of wood splintering everywhere. Steve got up to see the man rushing him, before the young man dodged right and jumped up for a spinning heel kick. His foot came around, over, and down onto the top of the man's head. This gave Steve the moment to elbow him in the stomach and back off. The man grabbed at the spot that Steve had hit and then drew back his hands, aiming for a punch towards his face. Steve smiled gently as he easily grabbed the man's arm and threw him over his head. As the man landed, Steve brought up his knee to break the man's arm and then placed handcuffs on him.

"Now you be a good boy and wait here while the cops come get you....and next time....step ya game up." Steve said as he searched for his gun and then started to walk out the mansion. He took a radio from his side pocket and radioed back to headquarters."Special Agent Steve Burnside...Security Number 101. I've apprehended the suspect....he was easy but still he had a few moves. He's lucky he caught me off guard otherwi--" A sudden movement to Steve's right caught his attention and he spun around getting low to the ground with both guns raised towards a figure who was coming out of the room behind him. Steve looked at the figure and something was familar about it's movements. They were slow and almost drunkened......until Steve saw a peice of something hanging.....his flesh. "Oh sh--!!" Steve's words were cut short as the zombie jumped forward with his arms out and his mouth open.

Other: As standard for S.I.T.F.A, Steve always has a radio/cellphone, handcuffs, and a collaspable baton though he rarely uses them.

(I hope it was alright to use the Canon Character History for my bio. If not, I'll make something up.)

Can you please explain these in a little more depth

Now since the infection hasn't happened yet, and this is a cannon, please keep quite the true events in Raccoon for now. Role play him as you normally would, just don't go around telling people.

Very nice, well done. I only have one minor issue, and thats your Av. We prefer not to have cartoonish images. If you could find a picture of an actor or other that resembles Leon, that'd be great. If not, PM me and i'll be happy to find one for you smile.gif

Alright. I'm happy for you to try and find one, I was just using them temporarily because it's a pet peeve of mine. I hate not having an ava. Lol. And Wolf, I understand. I'll have Leon just try to keep the virus/infection a secret as that could technically blow his cover if people think he knows more than he should.

EDIT: Now, I will admit, I don't know much about Resident Evil because I just recently started playing the games. (I'm more an FF fan really.) But from what I've seen, it's a very cool franchise series. I'm hoping to learn a lot more by playing one of the lead characters of the series as well. Hopefully this will not have me to release my character to someone more qaulified because I am a fast learner.

Also another question, I put Leon into a secret organization based on the history you guys have on him. Would he still be welcome at S.T.A.R.S HQ?

No we wont take the character away. Just role play him to the best of your abilities. From your sample I can already tell you'll be fine at it. And of course, he could always be a transfer. He's welcome on my team ^-^

I might recommend (if your a reader) reading the Resident Evil novels. Mainly the 3rd installment called City of the Dead, as he's the main character there and its basically taken right from the game - plus you understand Leon's personality and everything else better. He is also in the fourth installment, though more of an extra than a main character (from my point of view). I'm not saying you HAVE to, but the books are a great. You'll most likely find them in any majour book store.

Also as for your Avvie, look up Jensen Ackles in images on google, he's the closest i can find who resembles Leon, and some pictures are very close.

Alright Wolf, Leon can be a transfer. Would it be alright if he were "transferred" there on special assignment from SITFA? It would help with the type of personaility I'm trying to give him. Ya know? Confident and everything, thinking he's a hotshot because he's on a special assignment? If not, that's cool too, just thoght that would give him a good edge.
