This Rabbit/Member Rank's Handbook Includes:
A. The Rabbit/Member Ranks
B. Challenging & Overthrowing Clan Chief Rabbits

A. THE RABBIT/MEMBER RANKS

Oh my have you realized it yet?
Clans, culture, strife and struggle, there must be a hierarchy but where?!

This is a special ranking system unique to Uncertain Fate. Here, if you want a higher rank for your character you literally have to earn it. Yes, your Member rank and your Rabbit, or rabbit like creatures rank go hand in hand.

>> Basically the longer you've been around and the more posts you have the higher ranked and more respected your characters are, unless stated otherwise, aka a newborn, loner, evil or newbie character. <<
(Please scroll further down on the details of Challenging and Overthrowing Clan Chiefs)

Higher ranked members have some perks and deserve respect, they also can help (and should!) White paws to understand how the site works and such.
Note: Just because your a day older, or have 1oo more posts does not mean you can boss around someone of equal rank...or any rank for that matter. Don't boss around others it's mean you'll end up being called "black-tailed".

The Member/Rabbit Ranks: (Listed highest to lowest)
(unless stated otherwise any of the ranks below can occupy a clan or not.)

Chief Rabbit - This member rank is the highest you can get. Administrators of this site automatically hold this rank. The Rah's (Chief Rabbits) are basically the most powerful rabbits in the clan- they are the leader(s). All the rabbits in the clan can be given orders by the Rah/Chief Rabbit. A rabbit that is a Chief Rabbit has the suffix -rah (ex. Bunny-rah) added to their names as a sign of respect. MUST be a member of a clan.

Elder Rabbit - One of the highest ranks, and a great honor to achieve. An Elder Rabbit has survived in the forest for a very long time, is very wise and has a lot of say, enough to put a Chief in his/her place. An Elder Rabbit can hold the position of a Chief Rabbit in a clan ONLY if the position is available, Elder Rabbits can NOT challenge and overthrow existing Chief Rabbits of a clan. A rabbit that is an Elder Rabbit has the suffix -kou (ex. Bunny-kou) added to their names as a sign of respect.

Owsla - Rank up from being a regular Swiftpaw, Owsla's have survived much and are seasoned in the world of Uncertain Fate, they deserve respect and admiration but do not have an honorific suffix.

Swiftpaw - A rabbit that is experienced and skilled to a point, still having much to learn and accomplish. (equal to Member).

White Paw - Human equivalent is a newbie. A rabbit that's still learning, fresh member to a clan, or a young rabbit. The suffix -roo (ex. Bunny-roo) is sometimes used by more experienced rabbits as an endearment. (When you reach this rank you may now create a baby character, or a loner character.)

Outskirter - Someone who has just arrived and has barely made a place for themselves. They have yet to prove their skill. They do NOT belong to any clan.

Black-Tail - A black-tail, or being "black-tailed" is sadly, a name for one who has done a wrong and/or abused someones trust. They can still right the wrong though. (equal to Demoted)

------------------------------------

* Loner - This is NOT a rank, this is a rabbit of any rank or status (besides chief of Outskirter) that just does not belong to any clan. It can be considered a level up from Outskirter, who is not a part of any clan either but is not knowlegeable of the area where as Loners have been around in the forest for a while.

REMEMBER: You are only allowed to create as high a ranking character as your member status you may always create a lower ranking character.
(If you do make a lower ranked character then your member rank TELL US IN YOUR CHARACTERS PROFILE!)

Note 1: Characters can only be Chief Rabbits if the position is open in a clan or by challenging the current Rah of a clan. All other ranks and titles can be used within or outside the clans.

Note 2: A young character may NOT be roleplayed as if it were equal in power and rank to the more experienced one.

(There are other terms rabbits and rabbit like creatures use to describe themselves and others, you can find those here --->[ Terms and Lingo ] along with other terms.)

B. CHALLENGING & OVERTHROWING CLAN CHIEF RABBITS

>>This Information is only for ordinary circumstances and doesn't necessarily apply to community plots, or in the circumstance of a mutual agreement of both party's to overthrow a chief.<<

Who Can become a Chief?
Only members with "Chief Rabbit" or "Elder Rabbit" ranks have a chance to have their character become a Chief. Please read the previous post for further details. Remember, Elder Rabbits do not HAVE to be a part of a clan.

Do they're mates creators have to be of those ranks?
And is the position open to only one gender?
No, and no. A member's character that holds a chief position get's to decide who he/she wants to have as a mate, regardless of the other character or members position. Any gender can be in any position. (Unless a one gender only clan is made in the future.)

There is a Chief position is open in one of the clans!
A member of either of the two for-mentioned ranks can apply for the position. First come first serve.

All the positions are filled but I still want my character to be a Chief!
If your member rank is Elder Rabbit or lower you may NOT have a chief character. If your member rank is Chief Rabbit please read below on how to challenge & overthrow a clan Chieftain. You should be an active member, and have a character ready to take on the responsibility. Or you could become overthrown too!

1.) Apply for the position:
Create a character, or have a preexisting character. Next send a note to an Administrator with a LINK to your characters bio and explain WHY your interested in the position, and WHY your character would be good for the position in question.

2.) Wait for a reply.
The administrator you send your information to will read it, and either reply with a note stating the challenge is accepted, OR reply stating your request has been denied with a LIGAMENT reason why, ex: the existing Chief JUST got the rank, etc.

IF YOUR CHALLENGE IS ACCEPTED:
The administrator will send a PM & an Email to the Creator of the existing Chief character of a note reading:

Due to your inactivity, your character, [Insert Name Here], has been challenged for the role of Chief Rabbit in the [Insert Clan] by [Insert Challenger Name here], [Current Challenger's Rank here] of the [Insert Clan If In One]. You have 7 days to answer on whether or not you want [Insert Name Here] to keep his/her job. You may want to roleplay the situation with the other members character to decide the outcome. If after seven days we do not hear from you [Insert Name] will have been Overthrown, and replaced.

I'm sorry, but this is natures way, and when you are gone too long, things may change. If you have read this to late and have a problem, and would like to challenge for your spot back, a meeting and decision will be scheduled.

Thank you.

3.) Wait for a reply from the Member being Challenged, Or Lack There Of.
They will either note back within the 7 day limit with their decision or you will automatically replace them, AKA: Overthrow them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TO THOSE BEING CHALLENGED:

So I go away for a while and now my character's no longer Chief!
If a member who has a chief character, is inactive for a large amount of time without a warning, Then their spot is free pickings. We need to keep the clans changing and moving on. Your character will however still will be a respected member of the clan. (unless both party's rp out the challenge and the overthrown character gets banished or something. Remember both party's must agree to such roleplays)

Being Challenged & Overthrown:
If you characters position is being challenged, you will receive a message stating you are being " Challenged " for your spot. You can then role play this out with said member who wants the position or give a straight answer if your willing to give up the position or not.

If you do not respond to this message within a week's time, the change is made permanent for all to see. Your character's position was "Overthrown".

If you come back too late then tough poop. That's life, and if your RL is so hectic that we don't hear from you months on end then...WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ANYWAY!?

If you really *must* make a fuss, you will note an administrator about it being unfair, and all the admins will get together and take a poll of what to do.
WE WILL ONLY DO THIS FOR THOSE WHO REALLY WANT THEIR SPOT BACK BECAUSE THEY FEEL CHEATED.
