I do not recognize any of those names.
I guess maybe we, as a group, need to discuss what we want the forum to be--what do we envision it to be. I know there are a lot of personal comments and conversations going on here among Endeavour members, so I guess it comes down to whether or not we feel comfortable making this a public forum--which it will be as soon as we let in anyone outside of the Endeavour.

What does everyone else think? It seems there has been a bit less use of the forum lately than there was earlier.

In all real use the forum serves as a better tool for the clubs needs; it's simply a matter of getting members used to using it. Ongoing replies in a conversion / event / topic, do not get lost. it can even serve as a record of the event. Images, and even video can be shown and it serves as a great way to share them for download by other forum members. The PM system can send a message straight from one member to the other where no one else can read and those messages can be stored as well.

It simply a matter of do we want to let others in on those club matters.

I say club only or by invite from club.

That one person trying to sign up does have a StarFleet e-mail address.

I think I have to agree with Mark: I say club only or by invite from club.

That sounds good. But we may want to consider the British starfleet address. We are trying to create a treaty with the British Endeavour and this guy may be able to help. Can Mark email him and find out his intentions.
If they are honoable, we could vote on letting him in. What do you think?

Say the word and I will e-mail him. I can do it as "The forum staff" and simply ask how (he?) found us.

I think it is good we are being careful and selective. After all, we wouldn't want to be surprised (unpleasantly) by someone fibbing and sneaking in like, oh, Jerome, or Diane, or---Spiderwoman.

Received this back from Adm White let me know what we want to do with this.

Greeting Captain!

I'm Admiral White of Starfleet Command Quadrant Two - Alex to you and me!

I think I found your site through the Operation rebirth Webring that our webmaster set up. I wanted to see if there were any operational Quadrant one unit still going as over here in quadrant two. I haven't heard much in a while so I thought I would drop by and say Hi from the UK!

It's a real pain all the spamming that goes on with message boards, our primary board was attacked and currently we are using our secondary forum.

I quite understand if you want to keep the board local as I say I was just dropping by to make contact so if you want to keep in touch by email that's fine - it's nice to know there are other SFC units still out there!

Cheers!

ADM. Alex White
Director Starfleet Communications
Quadrant Two.

He seems to understand a desire to keep the forum local. I think we could keep in touch via email--perhaps even include him on our newsletter list since it is posted online anyway. Has he got our ship website address?
