In this thread we can discuss what, when, where, at the premier.

Any questions?

We are going to have to build th chair before I can paint the backdrop. The objects in the backdrop will have to be relative in size to it.

An upcoming event I want to cover with everyone is the premier of the new Star Trek Movie. At this time I have been going over the idea of having the Endeavour, the SFC members, ect.. attend the movie premier. The Mounds Mall Theater is very interested in have “actors” dressed up in Trek uniforms and sort of “hang out in the lobby” for the premier. At this point I have struck up a deal with them to be there, and bring my crazy Trek friends with me.

What do we get in return you ask? Well, after speaking with the USS Endeavour CO Lora Holman we are going to try to expand this into a fundraiser for the Hopewell Center. While we are hanging out in the lobby, we hope to have a Capt Kirk chair and have it setting in front of a nice backdrop. People attending the movie will be able, for a donation, have their picture taken with one of the “actors” in or out of the chair. We also get in for free and we get reserved seats. This could also be used for a group membership drive. So we can kill two birds with one stone. We can have fun at the premier and do a fundraiser at the same time.

What’s the catch? What made you think that there would be a catch? Well, there are a few. Well you have to be dressed in a Trek costume, you must show up no later then one hour before the start of the movie (if you do you might lose your seat) and you must have RSVPed to myself or CO Holman, no later then 10 days before the day of the show. If you wait and do not RSVP closer then the ten days, you may not be able to be a part of the reserved seating. It really depends on if someone does not show. If you want to just show up the day of, not dressed, or dressed, you will not have a free, reserved seat, in the theater. The kids are cute in the little Trek suits, be remember we are going to ask them to be good for at least an hour, then set for another hour and a half. I would not trust my son to do that and he’s 18! LOL I also do not know at this time if anyone under 16 can be considered an “actor” for this event.

I think that it’s cute that they (the Mall Managers) want to call us “actors”

If anyone has any questions, just ask. CO Holman will be helping me set this up more and more so you can ask either one of us.

Thanks, Mark. We have 11 confirmed seats so far. I would liketo know if he did give you a limited number of how many we can have... If not I will try to call up there to find out. Who is it again? I already forgot and didn't write it down...

My son's 2 friends Karl and Rachel from the Fishers area want to dress up and come to hang out with us before watching the Star Trek movie. They are willing to pay for their tickets but I told them that I have put them on the stand by list.

I don't really care, but if they say they are going to be there then I need them to be there, and dressed, if we agree to give them free tickets and the reserved seating. Remember the premier could be a Thur midnight show.

Someone needs to contact the newspaper and make sure they cover this. It is a great story for Star Trek AND the Endeavour!!!
If we get some pre-publicity, more people will show up.

I got it covered but someone should contact the Hopewell center and ask if they want to throw some endorsement our way.

We are getting closer.

Lora do you have anyone to add to the list? Do we still have any openings

Roy do you need anything from me to do the backdrop?

I am meeting with the Mall Manager on Fri at 1:30 pm, if you want to make it Lora

Do we know who is wearing what? Do we need to shift some uniforms around?

I still would like to know who is wearing what in case we need to shuffle around some uniforms, pants ect.. I know that May 8th seems like next year, but it's coming up fast. I would rather show up relaxed then all crazy.

Everyone understands that in order to be a part of this that a Trek costume is needed, correct? We "actors" as we are being called, must be in costume.
