Torturing him is very enjoyable..why??

Definitly.
I know if I was Robin I'd be petrified about bringing girls (or boys) home with me.

Robin: Now- only use one word answers and if he glares at you just smile sweetly. oh- and lower the hem on your skirt so it's longer and put a coat on!
girl: um...ok?

Was thinking about this on the bus today, it's not why it's fun to torture Robin, but it relates to something Austral said about him wanting to be tortured.

Maybe he likes the lack of responsiblilty that comes with it? When you're being tortured you don't really have to do anything, right? It's the person doing the torture that has all the responsiblilty of either keeping you alive or killing you.

Maybe he subconsciously enjoys the relaxing feel of not having to protect anyone.

I have to disagree with that. Sure, Robin probably does enjoy that he no longer has to look out for himself when he's someone else's responsibility, but he probably hates that everyone else who is relying on him is being let down. Whenever he's kidnapped and tortured then he's not leading the Titans and protecting Jump which he believes is his full responsibility and it probably drives him crazy thinking about how his friends are caotic without their leader and how someone in Jump could be getting hurt without him.

But later on he does realise that the titans can fight without him. And of course, if slade is bent over him with some kind of sharp pointy object Robin could have that satisifaction of knowing that with Slade's attention diverted the city is semi-safe for a while
