"Sounds like a good idea. Lead the way, then. You probably know loads more about dancing than me."
Neville drank the last bit of his Butterbeer and couldn't help blushing slightly at Luna's words. The truth was, he hadn't danced much, but he did enjoy dancing with Ginny Weasley at the Yule Ball in his fourth year. Neville had an ever so slight crush on Ginny as well, but would never do anything about it for two reasons. One being he was way too shy, the other being he knew Harry liked her and Harry was a good friend. Neville would never do anything like that to a friend. "Alright" he replied and began walking over to the dance floor, looking behind him to make sure Luna was still there.
Luna followed Neville out onto the dancefloor, humming to herself. She had put her dirty glass back onto the table and she wished she had her wand with her right now, for there was a couple that seemed to be locked together at the lips with a Lipsmacker. Lipsmackers made sure couples were locked together at the lips for several minutes on end. "Poor couple. I wish I had my wand with me to get that Lipsmacker off of them."
She turned towards Neville and extended her arms. "So, expert, how do we dance?"

Neville grinned at Luna's comment about the Lipsmacker. "What is a Lipsmacker?" he asked her curiously. Moments later, the two were on the dancefloor and Luna had outstretched her arms and asked him how to dance, after calling him an 'expert.' He ignored this comment, although it was hard to do. "Just follow my lead" he replied, placing her right arm around his waist and the other on his left shoulder. Neville blushed as he put Luna's arm around his waist and hoped she didn't notice this.
As Neville put his arm around Luna's waist and the other on her shoulder, Luna simply followed Neville's lead absently, with her opposite arms. "A Lipsmacker is a creature that makes you kiss your lover for several minutes on end. It simply keeps the lips together. I know a simple countercharm for it, but I need my wand to do it." She shrugged. "Nasty things, and they breed around dances and such."

"Oh" Neville replied. He was a little used to Luna's discussions about odd creatures, most of which Hermione Granger didn't believe in. Neville kept his lead, smiling. It was great to be dancing with his crush, Luna Lovegood. "Having fun?" he asked after a few moments of dancing. The truth was, Neville was having the time of his life and didn't want the night to end.
"Having a wonderful time, if that's what you are meaning," Luna said after she stopped humming to the tune of the song. She slightly wished that time would stop, and it would be just the two of them walking through frozen time or something romantic like that. Suddenly, Luna leaned up and kissed Neville quickly on the lips, then broke away. "Excuse the lipsmackers. They're everywhere."

Neville smiled. "Yeah, that's what I meant, and I'm having a wonderful time too" he admitted. The Gryffindor was completely taken aback by Luna's kiss and was silent for awhile. Finally, he managed to say "Err - it's okay." His cheeks were a bright pink and he was more confused than ever, not sure if Luna had meant to kiss him or if it was a Lipsmacker.
"Good," Luna hummed to herself as they continued to dance, even though the music was slowly fading away. "I mean; I would like to kiss you on my own accord, of course, but all these lipsmackers around it could turn into a very dangerous situation. Maybe some other time when these lipsmackers immigrate south after Valentine's Day." Luna grinned slightly in her dreamy way; looking up at Neville.
