For those that aren't aware, dubstep is identified by unorthodox syncronizations of beats, more of a downtempo affair with a lot of the artists commanding a sound grasp of production technique used to push soundwaves to natural extremes - as Bryn exemplified - with the 'bass wobbles' creating sounds not unlike the audio equivalent of an optical illusion - adding depth and character to an otherwise minimalist beat.

I know what you mean about the minimal beats. I was listening to benga and thinking, these drums sound so much less tampered with and processed than mine, yet a thousand times more cutting. Now reckon I've almost got the burning desire to always have a 'thumping kick' out of my head.
I forgot about Skream - one of the most notorious dubstep producers at the minute - he's definately got a few tracks that thrash that sub bass roll, but some of the other ones are just a little less inspired and just spell out 'rehash'.
And that track is sickeningly harsh - in the best sense
