A few weeks back I was searching through www.watch-movies.net with my friend to see what movies were kicking about in the, for lack of a beter word vast collection of films. that was when we noticed one of the funniest films I've seen in a long time...Zombie Strippers.

While not a comedy film, it had me laughing out loud for its nonsensical plot, atrocious script and FUCKING HORRIBLE ACTING.

The basic premise is this - A group of soldiers infiltrate a nuclear testing facility to destroy a virus that zombifies people (they really pulled out all the stops with that plot). inevitably the virus infects all of the soldiers and they are attacked by zombies. one of the soliders escapes and runs to a nearby underground strip club, owned by an aging Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger). The virus begins to infect the Strippers (played by some famous pornstars, including Jenna Jameson) and instead of lusting purely for human flesh, they also get the burning desire to continue stripping, as their bodies decay. I wish I was making this up.

While it was what most people would classify as a bad film, I genuinly enjoyed watching it. at this point I started to wonder what other films were "So bad their good". One that struck immediatly was the Street Fighter movie, with its very dodgy choice of actors, and horrendus script, but it was still quite amusing to watch. It's something of a guilty pleasure of mine. smile.gif

Another film I found on watch movies was "Killer Klowns From Outer Space". While I've not seen it as of yet, I dont think I need to say much on this one. With a title like that, it's GOTTA be so bad its good.

Theres one more I'll touch on just now, which is "STOP! Or My Mom Will Shoot!". Sly's even said himself this is the worst movie he's ever made, however I thought it was a great film! Or perhaps that was the rosy tint of youth...Hold on. I'll go watch it again.

.....

Nope still good.

Can any of you guys think of other "So Bad Theyre Good" movies?

And I'm gonna reinforce it. You MUST see Zombie Strippers. If only for the "Face Dance" scene. wink.gif

Hahahahahaha that must have been inspired in part by the music video for Robbie Williams "Rock DJ" - "kickin' with the torso boys, gettin' high and the girls even more so" (in all seriousness was there ever a bigger height of naff?

In terms of horror films the Reanimator 1 & 2 took a good prize for the sheer corniness combined with frenzied action seens and so many continuity errors that nitpickers have a field day with 100 acres of field - I'd most likely site it as one of the films which has the joy of seeming like it was meant to dead serious (no pun intended) yet seriously failing in pretty much every aspect of production and acting to the point that its more a laugh than anything else; thus most likely the reason that they became something of a mini cult classic.

Horror often tend to take the top spots in terms of pisspoor film that squeezes a few increduluous laughs out here and there - because it just so happens that your average redneck with a hand-me-down video camera and bathloads of tranclucent red solution will inevitably become a small time slasher film mogul within the 2 consecutive days that it takes to shoot such a triumph of gore with no discernable storyline to get in the way.

I'm still yet to decide what I'd see as the turning point outwith the scarier genres, but I'll give it some good thought and have a rake through some bronze-level oldies in my stash.

Zombie strippers is a brilliant film simply because it is sooooo shit. But cabin feaver, wrong turn and trucks all fall into the same category.

You should check out Mystery Science Theater 3000. It is pretty much a guy and his 2 robot pals sitting in movie theater watching shit movies and poking fun at them. So an episode is just the whole film with their silhouettes at the bottom and them making wise cracks. Sounds odd, but I think you will love it.
I recommend watching MST3K: The movie - This island earth (if you can find it on the net) or the "Space Mutiny" and "MANOS! THE HANDS OF FATE" episodes. All disgustingly bad films.

I remember reading about a matricide involving the mentally corrupted dwarf child of hollywood B-movie actress Susan Cabot (a one time lover of King Hussien of Jordan - apparently the son was their bastard child).

Basically he got injected daily with a serum harvested from cadavers along with other unsavoury ingredients in order to try and remedy his tiny size, and got smothered by his mum so much that the combination of the two made him incredibly unstable. He beat her to death with a dumbell and claimed it was a black-clad Ninja.

She breifly featured in some films that were considered as relatively watchable, Gunsmoke being one I'd remember.

Her apparently "instantly forgettable" string of films directed by notoriously bake director Robert Corman are as follows:

Saga of the Viking Women
The Wasp Woman
Sorority Girl
War of the Satellites
Machine Gun Kelly
Surrender? Hell

the Machine Gun Kelly one being her chance to act alongside the amazing talent of Charles Bronson ("no dice").

I'd love to get my hands on a few of these and see how they actually were, as I'd say from reading about her and her semi-notoriety that she would have starred in the kind of films that took themselves seriously but were just utter shite.
