Black Market Chips, where? oh and the cpus

Well still no luck with the black markets and I can’t figure out how to edit the xml code, or what it really is but anyway. I was wondering what and was I might find a black market chip, I figure you would just stumble onto one but I haven’t. I still can’t manage to get to the black markets, they tell me to get lost. It just a little frustrating when you keep having to start new games because you get to a point were everyone else has good weapons and you don’t so you die. So yeah I can’t figure these black markets out, and you can see I've posted before and I've tried that stuff (selling the illegal items to the different places) and I can seem to get anything to work, so any advice would be nice. Oh one other thing, I had one of those CPU reader things in the game and one of those green cubes that it said that it was suppose to read. Do you need some sort of weapon or something to get use out of the CPUs and reader?

Go to the downloads page. The Transcendence XML is there. Go modify that, instead of trying to edit the .tdb file.

There's a few tips on the Library Link to get you started on modding the XML; hopefully, as time passes and more people contribute, it will become more complete.

Actually, getting a BM chip may not help you in your search for better ways to beat people up. I would try Tai Kwon Leep for that.

A CPU reader? Huh?

I assume you have the Heisenmachines Quantum CPU installed? Some of the cubes (typically the ones labelled in 1337speek) are usable with that, all you have to do is hit U. Others are apparently only good as trade goods, and not great trade goods at that.

the black market isnt the best, but you can get some good stuff. its easier to get a military chip and buy things from a weapons dealer

Well, military gear is not the only thing you can buy at Black Markets. Since illegal commodities weight very little, you can turn a nice side profit if you have a Smuggler's Hold installed and know where to take the stuff.

its not as good a profit as from the tempus labs though. but then again you need bl;ack market id to go there. sorry that slipped my mind, if it doesnt have black market in the title then i dont think of it

Yeah I have gotten really far, I got some sweet weapons. I had this really rare reactor installed like a 600mw one, it was huge. I almost died because it can only use the level 5 fuel and that can be had to find, had to down grade to a 250mw . Anyone else find that reactor? I bought it at a black market place. And thanks for the help with everything else, I got a military ID to so I can legally install those weapons and stuff.

its a 500MW reactor, and it takes heliotrope fuel, longzhu spheres and pteracnium rods. if you install one too early it can be death, but its easy enough to complete the game with one. i dont really bother with the 1GW if i can get this and enhance it, although the 1GW does have advantages. the 500MW is slightly more efficient, but the 1GW can hold over twice as much fuel.
