I've created this topic for two reasons:
1) Because I'd like to announce the creation of the Library Link, a Wiki database for all sorts of stuff, including spoilers, strategies, moddding, etc. Right now, it mostly a bunch of titles, but that'll change soon. The address is also nice for remembering: thelibrarylink.schtuff.com. Schtuff.com is the host. 2) For discussions of the above Wiki. P.S. Sorry to those who wanted a different name; I just thought the Library Link sounded better as a Wiki name. It is, after all, a bunch of links containing information. This is cool! I'm going to have to go over there and start writing...
Is there any particular format that we want to do this in? More introductory quotes, but this time from uppity aliens? I think the body text should be written in a normal format. Edit: I think you have to give us permission to edit the document, EFD. Or would you rather we composed the documents in word and submitted them to you? P.S: I am now Fossaman over there too. --------------------

I would like it to be strait informitave. Things like item listings and modding sections would defetly wouldn't work stylized.

As long as you're registered and logged in, you should have permission to edit. I've reset the permissions, so try it again.

Schtuff.com changed all their permissions settings, presumablly for all Wikis on the site. It got reset so users could no longer edit docs, for some reason.

Cool; I started working on the Weapons Vs. Ships page. I only have the ships from the first two or three systems, but it's a start.
If someone with a knowledge of the workings of HTML would like to make a table of contents and link it to each kind of ship, feel free. --------------------

I don't think you need to with this system. Just make a page for each kind of ship. and just put [] around the ship name for the link to that page.

I just stuck in a quick and dirty section on strategy and tips. Since I expect many tips will become obsolete as different versions are developed, each tip has a heading that describes the last time the tip has been tried and worked.
To future editors, if you know it works in a newer version, update the version number in the heading. If it no longer works, then delete the tip. The basic breakdown: 3 main sections - Loot, Economic, and Combat. Each subsection is in bold, and refers to what the tip is about. (eg, identifying an item, saving money, etc...) Each subsubsection is italicized and in bold, and is more specific on what the tip is about. Parenthecial heading is the version the tip was last verified for. |

I've updated a bunch of the weapons in the list for .95 down to Heavy Recoilless from the top. They still need a few more stats, (ROF and max damage per second) Some of the other weapons have been done, but not for .95.
I would just like to remind people that the Library Link still needs a lot of work, since it appears the lists are a bit neglected. I also removed question number 5 from the FAQ since it isn't necessary with the reactor system. However, a quick rundown on reactors would be nice. -------------------- --

I put up a listing of the armors in .95 a few days ago, and I will be putting up a similiar list of the weapons tomorrow. I would have had it faster if somebody behaved themselves and didn't break enough xml rules to completely boggle any xml parser that tries to read it. If anyone can make those tables fit in the normal page I would appreciate it as Library Link seems to throw a fit at my style of html.
