Title: simple adjustments

I'm new to this game, haven't read these forums so this has probably already been mentioned

A save game slot, this game looks really nice, and plays nice to a certain extent but the save game process is so annoying I almost quit playing 30 minutes in because of it. I don't know if the creator has ever played another game before, but the save game slot is very simple and easy to use. You actually have to press escape 3 and confirm you are going to blow up by pressing 1 just so you can go back to your saved game? very annoying, the first game I played I got a score of 1200 or so, would've kept playing but didn't know that everytime you enter a gate it automatically saves, well since then I keep a folder and manually copy and paste saved games so this doesn't happen again, because I was on zero fuel and after entering the gate was doomed.

As mentioned by others the mini map in the top right corner should be adjustable, zoom in and out so you can see where your goin without havin to look at solar map, and speaking of maps, playing kinda feels like going from one room to another, if there was a galactic map showing which systems you came from and which you have been to and where you are would be a bigggg help, as I have no great memory, even being able to make notes on the systems I forget where that nice weapon shop was because it was x many gates ago I'll probably never find it again.

Overall great beta though, and even though the faq says never multiplayer, a game called starport galactic empires is sort of similar and multiplayer, this game modified to multuplayer I'm sure would be difficult but it would be the best way I can see the creator getting some money back for the hard work, in starport the game is free and all but for those that want an extra edge can buy tokens and thus buy fuel, fuel in the game cannot be bought directly, it regenerates over time, anyway I'm sure someone will attempt to make it mutliplayer, I'm really just lookin for a 2d space ship flying around the galaxy game, like star control online, but it doesn't exist so I keep looking.

I've played Starport too. It's pretty good.

Save game slots: I don't think you're supposed to be allowed to save wherever you want. I personaly don't like it, but that's the way it was made.

Score: AFAIK: The score you gain for something is generaly base_score/#_of_times_you've_died.

Zoom-in/-out minimap & galaxy map: Both very good ideas. Have you put thm in the Feature Request part of the OTF (Official Transcendence Forum)?

Transcendence is loosely based on roguelike games like NetHack which only allow one save (and delete it when you die). You aren't really intended to go back to previous saves, unless you die (and then it's optional, I personally start a new game).

Well...was else do you expect? I'm happy with Transcendence as it is...but if you want, go on the OTF to report it, if you want.
