Title: Xenophobes
Description: Solution?

goat_not_sheep - November 1, 2006 09:26 PM (GMT)
Does anyone have a good method when it comes to xenophobes? All I can do is take advantage of the slow speed of the xenophobes and run to a frendly station while firing an akan or any other omni i have. Not convenient. A waste of ammo (to kill the warship, esp.) and it takes a looong time. Does the xenophobes have any weakness?

Gem of contrition and a plasma thrower or one of the archcannons

Ion damage will work better than blast, as with thremo. Try one of the high damage, low ROF weapons, they tend to work better.

GoC's aren't too bad either. The main thing is that the defenders and fighters aren't too bad and I think a TeV station can still take them out. Most of the times I've run accross Xenophobes only the worldship is left after a few moments of fighting, Generally though, getting a bunch of guys chasing you (there is nothing better than Xenophobes for dealing with ferrians after you blow the hive), or a friendly station is a good idea.

Yes...I run twards freindly stations. So... slow rate of fire and high ion damage? What kind of weapon ha a slow Rof and is ion?

The solar cannon from the Heliotrope is low end but can kill it. VII howitzer works okay too. It has worldship plate, so any laser, kinetic, blast and particle damage is worthless. Obviously positron, plasma and antimatter are the best, but thremo and ion will work too.

FFH isn't bad either. or you could just lead it to the Ringers or Tailkon if they're around.

What does FFH stand for again? Hmm... does something with a fast rate of fire work or no? (if it's ion...or antimatter)

no, the solar cannon is particle

Yes... the solar cannon is particle. I knew because i had a particle reflecting shield. Then. a heliotrope destroyer fired it's guns. BONG! Huh? That's how i knew.

FFH = Fusion Fire Howitzer. Thermo, slow ROF, high WMD factor for destroying buildings and wreaks. Seccond only to the Advanced Tritum Cannon (Thermo, high ROF, overheats, so try not to go over half heat or it could become useless. If it gets damaged due to heat, try to reinstall it.) for ammoless building destruction.

What aboput the gian demolition? Does that work?
