Hail and well met.
I'm a devout fan of Tolkien and all of his works, and I sincerely hope to become a major contributor to this site.
So, hi there.

Please look over the site and decide where you might fit in or, decide on a scene roleplay that others may have a chance to fit in. Place your ideas here for feedback from members. Thank you for choosing to enter and take part in our efforts. I sincerely hope you plan to be active here for many writers seem to be busy elsewhere and by your efforts perhaps they will take note.

*eyes cross*
This is a bit dizzying...
having looked at the "characters needed" section, I am still unsure as to what to do, since most of them were posted some time ago...
That and whenever I join a new site, I have a few days of "oh my, how strange and new all of this is..."

I understand completely. I do the same when I join a site. Take your time. I should revise the characters needed situation. No time at the moment but maybe tonight...

Right, I've had an idea, but I don't know where to put it. I think it's too long for a "scene role-play", but neither do I want to push the boat out and do anything drastic.
I was thinking of a Play centering on Lorien and Mirkwood during the latter half of the war of the ring. Like, beginning with the first assault on Lorien and ending with the downfall of Dol-Guldur and the passing of Sauron.
Characters (I think I picked them all up, but tell me if I missed anyone):
Evil: Captain of Dol-Guldur. Captains of the hosts of Mordor (roughly equal in number to the heroes of the Elves). Orc Foot-soldiers. Captain of the Easterlings. Easterling Footsoldiers.
I think that be the lot....

Ah, I sent you a message before I saw this post! This is exactly what I was hoping you would do. Can we narrow the scene down however, maybe to one particular incident that could be roleplayed as a scene? Then if we can, move to another roleplay scene with the same characters and the same war incidents recently transpired. I like the idea and applaud your initiative! Maybe others will post here to show their interest. We have several members who would fit the bill here. Speak up!

Right ho.
So you think that it should start in Lorien and have a scene there, and then move on from there, huh? That sounds like a good idea.
Well, there it is, and now we shall see what we shall see.

Bravo! Really excellent initiative as Glorfindel says. I am interested and would love to continue posting as Artanis/Galadriel if I may.
I have a Scene Roleplay in the works as well which we can get to later. I would like to see us RP the First Fall of Doriath , including some of the back scenes involving the making of the Nauglamir, the Nogrod dwarves getting greedy and the pursuit after the necklace is stolen. Anyone interested in this?

Hello again...
I just stopped by to see if things were still going on around here, if so, I'm interested in getting involved.

Things /are/ going on! We have an interesting RP going on under the title of 'Tears Unnumbered Shall Y Shed'. Give Glorfindel a ring about joining the scene. And what fun to have another writer with us.

Yes, we need more elves for the host of Feanor! I mean, for my host, now that Feanor has fallen. We have a decisive battle coming up very soon and I am sure it will be a victory! Join up today--We Want You! *points like the Uncle Sam poster*
And don't pay any attention to those rumors about our being cursed. Some people are just alarmist! The past is in the past, and the future holds a new kingdom in Middle Earth for the Noldorin elves. Be part of it!

When about in the story are you? Before the breaking of the siege of Angband?

Greetings and well met.
Before the siege is set, in fact. The first Noldorin elves to return to Middle Earth are recovering from the first great battle. They (we) are somewhat stunned since Feanor has recently been slain. First introductions to the Sindar have been made.
Watch out for balrogs if you decide to join the outing. They don't make good neighbors.
A parley is set for a few (role-play) days hence. Feanor's eldest son seems intent to meet with Morgoth's emissary... He might need some back-up...

Then, if it is acceptable I should like to create my own character of the host of Feanor.
