Everyone knows that elves are untrustworthy buggers!

Lets have a poll about them.

Bargash, are you still picking on the elves? 011.gif
I should get Buggut over to your filthy orc hut and teach you some manners. 00000051.gif grin.gif

*laughs*
When I read "how is the eye?" I guess I was in a different place. The Eye !?! I figured Bargash was going to tell us all how Sauron was. (as if she would know)

Yes Bar, how are your eyes doing?

Why in Arda would we quit drinking liquor on Saturdays? Why in Arda would we quit drinking liquor? *pours a glass of wine*

Yes Bar...how is your eye? Not THE eye. Your eye. 1087.gif

Well elves I can tell you that HE is doing fine....

Considering my eye... I had an artificical lens put into the left eye in july 08.. 4th of july I think it was. It healed very well and I ordered new glasses. ( Yay- the orc are currently having Harry Potter style glasses....I wanted glasses that would fit in with my WW2 reenactment...).

The eye is rather okay atleast compared to the option of being stock-blind at it. I can if I do not wear glasses read a normal booktext from about 20 cm of distance..With glasses I cant since the artificial lens made me less short sighted. ( No pun intended). The atrificial lens helps a lot when looking at things in long distance.

The thing is if I look at a straight object like fx a flagpole with the injured eye i see it like it have several "notches" along the line. This is both in vertical and horisontal objects. This make it very difficult to read text since the letters gets all twisted and distorted. But its rather okay while watching objects like trees, animals, landscape and the like.

That distortion is due to its almost impossible to put back the retina in the exact way it was before it fell off...

Ie I use the injured eye a lot together with the healthy one when watching ordinary things, but are only using the healthy right eye for reading and the like.

But still its fantastic that they can use laser and "weld" on retina again. Mine is having 12 weldspots.

After getting my new glasses I emailed my institute at the university and asked if they had any courses that still had available places and was good as a starting up thingie... and they fixed me in at the "Viking Age Scandinavia". I finished that one now, and is still waiting for the results of the exam. I will go on finishing my bachelor exam during the winter and next spring and then hoping to get accepted into the masters program.

I have almost no money, but decided NOT to take an extra job since I really NEED to concentrate at my studies. In the meantime my boyfriend have to pay! (smirk!). But he really thinks that I should finish off my studies....
