Alone, Ikora is a dead world. Everyone is alone
Posted: Jul 13 2004, 01:19 PM

Yvonne sat still, her useless wings beating the stuffy air around her. She, along with about a hundred others of her species who had survived, waited only to die. Living in a semi-underground bunker, with the only connections to the outside being a single, large, plexi glass window that overlooked the barren plains, and a small transmitter. The transmitter was to allow cumunications to the other Ikan-Ukiri in other simialr situations. There were three known "comunities" of Ikarians, living in a forced isolation away from their neighbor comunities, and from the outside world. The people in the comnities were dying little by little each day. No one dared go outside. All contact from other planets had been lost. It had been many long years of waiting in cramped quarters, never smelling the air or seeing other people. No one knew that some of the Ikan-Ukiri were alive, and there was no way to tell them. The once powerfull, spacefareing people had been "turned back to the stone age" as it were.
She was the sole survivor of her comunity. She was truly alone.
The soul of the planted had been destroyed. As if that wern't enough, the people who destroyed it had left a toxic gass in the air. Most who hadn't died right away had escaped, but the remanded had been left behind. There had been five hundred of them left behind in the begining, but slowly they began to die.
