What one would call hope, another would call desire. Which another would call posession and so on and so on. Things were too complicated with the world; perhaps that is why Nalin (Nay-lin) didn't bother with them. Life was too long to wonder about things that would never give you an answer. Wait, perhaps life is too short. Whichever it was, it gave Nalin a better excuse to stay silent like a doll, most emotions bare from her face. It's not that she didn't have any, just that she didn't bother to show them. Emotions were troublesome for her, and she wanted to not bother with them. But then again, emotions were always there. That is, unless you are a maniquen which didn't seem like such a bad idea to Nalin. While she tried not to, sometimes her curiousity drew her out of her 'philosophy' and made her bother to try to understand the world. If life was too long, shouldn't she occupy herself with something?
Which is probably why Nalin was often seen at the site of the Bottomless Pit, a spiraling abyss that went on, and on, and on. Like life, she would say. Leaning towards the darkness, she pushed a strand of hair from her brow, examining what was said to be 'never ending'. Never ending was so tiresome.
Nalin was somewhat 'oriental' looking you could say, though sometimes you could never really tell with the 'costume' type of clothes she wore. In a way it gave others an excuse...and chance to stare at the girl, invisioning her as strange or beautiful. Whichever. It didn't really matter to Nalin. Beauty was so overrated. It shouldn't be bothered with. After all, technically what people find attractive in the opposite gender were signs of fertillity. Then came personality, and Nalin found it quite irritating. Not that she didn't have any friends...wait, could you call them friends? No, more like 'peers' or 'passer-byers'. You know, that type of thing that really shouldn't spark anyone's interest.
Stepping by from the pit, she looked back into it one last time, swearing she saw two red eyes looking back at her.
Heck, most likely it was her imagination.

OOC Ya....

Upon her encounter with Nalin a few hours ago, Blake was in no hurry to get back to the castle. Once again, she was astride Iblis who did not exactally want to leave the lush valley. Under the school cloak, was a simple white baby-doll t-shirt and dark jeans. Blake's usual attire. You'd think the students would have a robe with long sleeves huh? Leaping off her horse again, Blake allowed her steed to roam off with the other steeds grazing in a field a bit off.
Sighing, she walked on alone through the mist. How strange, ever since her instructions the night before, mist and fog had lolled into the region. Sighing, Blake continued on, letting her feet take her wherever.
Glancing up, Blake found she was not alone. Nalin...suprise suprise. Funny how they always crossed each other. "Nalin" she said softly, acknowledgiing the other girl. Blake was labeled beautiful to guys, and sometimes bitchy to other girls...but not to that Bella girl. Oh god how annoying that girl could be..
Barlteby smoothed his hair and pushed a forefinger under his glasses. You the man Bartleby, You ARE the MAN! he said to himself, strutting toward the two ladies in the mist. Remember Bartleby, mom said you were special on the inside, be PROUD! People would describe Mr. Dern as a nerd...a geel...a dork, either way, it was what he was...Oh! And also a perv.
Coming next to the two, Bartleby slapped both girl's butts and pushed through, running a hand through his hair. "Hello ladies" he said, trying to be er....charming. Blake shot a glare at him.
Blake looked at Dern in disgust. "One...NEVER touch me again, butt or anywhere else, two, why are you even here?"

Nalin winced in shock as she felt a light. Okay, that was being polite, rough tap on her behind. The seventeen year old eyed Bartleby wearily, giving him a , "please don't do that again." look. It wasn't too impolite though. Nalin, for one, was always poised, proper. Everything everyone expected of her. Bartleby was in the same class of magic as her, though he was not as advanced as the 'prodigy' Nalin. Blake? She had already met, tried to warn. Did she heed? Maybe not. "Knightly," she nodded to the girl, "Dern," she acknoledged the boy.

"Not much," Nalin mumbled, in a sort of careless way. Not that it was meant to be that way, of course. "Things here, things there." and she added with a look especially for Blake, "Voices, you know." Nalin scooted outwards, trying to avoid Bartleby's outstreched arm. "Something's happening," she said, "Not too big, but it will be."
She frowned at the boy next to her and then swept a lock of hair from her eyes. This is why she disliked boys. She'd prefer someone older...or at least more mature.
