Godric came bustling in to the Three Broomsticks and walked right over to the back of the room where a fire was lit. He needed warmth as the days were getting much colder now. Things like the cold didn't normally stop him but the chill was so cold it got right up his robes....and it wasn't pleasant. He called a hello to the owner in a booming voice and laughed to himself as he took off his travel robes and hung them on a hook on the wall before sitting down.
The golden flames were very welcoming and he nodded as the barman asked if it was to be his usual. There was nothing like a good Mead when the cold set in, warmed up the blood. He looked into the fire and set his mind to matters of the school. There was so much to organise still. With a school it seemed you could never be on top of things as the students were forever creating other things that needed to be organised. It was more of a living entity than something static and organised.
His weekend drinking buddy had not arrived it seemed as he scanned the room looking for Ollivander. Godric loved sitting having a drink with the man, speaking of current issues in the world and of magic. Both men seemed to enjoy learning from each other, which worked best over a nice drink. He tried to clear his mind from thoughts of work. Tonight was to be his night off from such things, something he had needed for some time now. He always sought out students who needed his help, not just with the subjects he was teaching but anything else that might be going on with them.
He still held such worry for the children's safety. He knew that the world they were growing up in was very intolerant of their kind...even actively so. A lot of them had family members who were being executed for their craft and it broke Godric's heart. He was wise enough and skilled enough to ensure he didn't come to harm at the hands of mortals but he also was well aware that they were merely acting out of fear of that which they did not understand. He wanted to pass onto these children a knowledge of their own abilities and try to weild that knowledge to their best advantage.
He also, though, wanted to teach them good morals and know that harming muggles was just as wrong as them harming wizards and that a peace is what should be aimed for. It was going to be hard of course, especially with some of them being very set in their ways, or being taught such things by one of his fellow founders. Ah...Salazar...what was he going to do with him? He didn't want to allow him teaching bad morals to the kids but he respected his friend too much to say so. He was just going to have to wait it out and hope for the best.
