I've heard that hamsters can get very long teeth easily. Does this still happen if they have a mineral block?

Also, how much would the vets fees cost to have them clipped/filed/? In Candian $'s.

My hamster has never had any teeth problems, so I wouldn't worry about that. smile.gif

And the vets fees, not expensive. smile.gif

Hmmm, I'd go and see your vet and ask them what they think.

A mineral block is helping, but it would be good to have a proper chew block too.

If you are really worried about overgrown teeth, take the hamham to the vet, they usually don't charge as much for something so small.

Keep a check on your hamsters teeth, check about once a week as they can grow fast.

Never attempt to trim the teeth yourself, or get someone else to. I know you probably wouldnt, but it has been done with painful consequenses.

If in doubt call the vet.
